The site is not currently showing the S560 non-4Matic. Are we still thinking they will add that later? It's shown as available in Germany. I hope the marketing clowns don't decide that we peons in the US don't "need" it.

I have a 560-183 RWD on order - estimating early December delivery. That's during the Winter Carnival event - usually lower lease rates and other incentives...
Highly likely
Am currently having a Panamera 4S priced out for Nov. alllocation to see where it's coming in at. Price as optioned was $141k.
When you configure a Porsche you realize how many options Mercedes throws in, not just luxury options, but also in terms of tech. You simply get more for for less. And MB's tech is better.
Alcantara headliner alone for $2k? That's a freebie in the S-class with exclusive nappa.
The thing Porsche has going for is that my wife enjoys a smaller bodied car and perhaps the higher residual.

Yes, been through that with my SL vs. a 911 Targa. As you go down the list of Porsche options you find yourself saying "well, of course," and "gotta have that one," and by the time you are done, the car is over $150K, while MB will sell you a similarly equipped SL for about $40K less. I still love the Porsche interior & exterror colors just so much, but I like the SL better than the Targa and the S way more than the Panamera. Waiting a few more weeks to place my S560 RWD order. Gotta have it.
I saw this interior in shanghai during international autoshow . Simply stunning interior, however it is far from being practical . I would not order any interior with beige/ gray carpeting. I would go nuts trying to keep it clean and may even end up divorcing my clumsy wife )) I think I will stick to porcelain / black combo .

Obviously, THIS is the way this interior is supposed to look. The tech folks in the MBUSA IT Dept. strike again! Why is it so hard for them to get it right the first time? Or, at the very least, why don't they ever seem to review their work before launching it? Anyway, regardless of the tint, I feel this interior is ugly, ridiculous and will be a "one year only" option. At the very least, MB needs to get some different people making their interior & exterror color choices. Someone with an eye for color and good taste would be a welcome addition to their team.

I will not attempt to defend this interior as it looks very undesirable to me as well but tastes vary.
I for one am tired of seeing another full black interior. So boring yet so many people select it.
I love the porcellain/black which is more practical than our current crystal gray one. Actually I should correct myself; apart from the carpets, the interior and steering wheel looks absolutely fantastic. More or less new in any way without any wear or dirt after 2 plus years of use.

Me too, but I order black, because I find none of the others that appeal to me to be practical. Really, what are they thinking putting carpets of such a light color in a car? And I live in Southern California! I can't even imagine having carpets like that were it snows! Oh well.

I'll take a pic of a light floor mat after 2 winters . Light interiors are nice to have on dark and cloudy days...
I went from black carpets on my 2015 550 to ordering silk beige/ espresso brown on my 2018 560. I started feeling a little nervous after reading several comments on this forum, but then realized I have a 2010 Ford Expedition that I bought new with the same combo of beige/brown seats and carpets. I drive the Ford in the New England winters and the carpets and seats are fine after 7 years. I plan to use my 560 in the New England summers and the Florida winters. Build date for the 560 is this Friday!
i tell ya, boys - it is these interiours that drove me away from placing an order for a 18 s560 in favour of buying a 18 750. after driving s class cars for 25yrs, i left the s for the 7 as bimmer offered better, more interesting colours. i got my new 7 last month and couldn't be happier with it. love the navy blue/saddle combo - something i wanted in the s but benzo doesn't offer it. so off to bimmer i went. i looked at the new mbusa configurator that stream posted a few days back and my god that magma grey and espresso brown interiour looks so conflicted and so busy too when they add-in the porcelain headliner. really?! grey, brown and white. all mashed together. wtf?!
