C400 wheel fitment

Hello.

do you guys think 20x9 et49 will fit in the front? I looked through every single page of the c450 fitment thread but since the 450s have differenr suspension set up in the front, no one tried 9s in the front.

the wheels i want come in 20x8 et20 or 20x9 et49 so i was thinking about going 20x9 et49 squared, if the fronts fit. Thanks in advance!!

i would venture to say no unless you have crazy camber and super aggressive offset.

man if I had the time, i would literally measure everything inside the wheel well and try things out myself but i just don't have that time anymore lately.. and finding wheels that i like in the right offset is so hard on this car, especially the rear since all the wheels I've looked at had 35 offset for 9.5" wheels and our cars poke in the rear if we go past 45 offset lol I'm pretty sure if we had more active members, someone would've definitely tried fitting 9s in the front but.. i guess that's just a wish at this moment lol

What brand are you trying to run?
The 300 and 400 cars have been out for a while and most of the wheel companies have successfully fit both cars. Check the big name brands, look what the tuners like Brabus offer, and then check what some of the aftermarket wheel guys are doing like Vossen?
I think a 9.0 with a 49 will end up likely not being very user friendly, and for sure a 8.0 with a ET20 will hang outside the fenders,
I ran an 19x8.5 with a ET45 that was pretty aggressive with the factory tires...the shoulders of the tires were rounded a bit, however the function was spot on.

When I pulled the set up off my car to go back to stock, I sold the set with the Michelin non run flat tires and the Michelins with their tread pattern and sidewall did not have the shoulders of the tire lay over the way the Conti's do. Again, I was running a 19, some of the 20" set ups have more tire options that allow some different set ups.
Attached are some pics of when I sold the wheels with the Michelins, it is kind of hard to tell how the shoulder looks in the photos of the wheels off the car, but you can see the bead/lip protector of the Michelin which does not make the wider wheels look so spread with the tires.

Time to bring this thread back!

Hey guys.

I'm currently looking at a set of 20x8,5 et42 for the front and 20x10 et55 for the rear.

I know the front is perfect but how about the rear? Will i have any issues hitting anything inside the wheel well, even if i have the car loaded down? The car will not be lowered.

It will however be wrapped with 245 35 20 front and 285 30 20 rear.

Thanks in advance guys!

I thought i would be able to use on my w205 amg.. too bad the 63s have different offset. The rsvforged was custom built according to the offset of 4matic c400/c300 cars.
