GTC Release?
I haven't seen much about the GTC coupe. I know the Edition 50 has been announced and is slated for release sometime this Fall. The PDF doc with all the specs and options for each model lists the production C's launch date as "early 2018."
It also says it has a widebody rear, like the GTR. So I assume that means it will have the large vents/openings on the rear bumper as well. The Edition 50 does.
Does the launch date typically mean the date it goes on sale or the date it's announced to the public?

Is it for sure a coupe and not a convertible? I don't mean to doubt you but I am close to 100% sure that the GT C coupe is not available as a non-edition 50 until next year.

See my post about halfway down the main page about the GT C coupe. There are 4-5 reviews there. While the reviews are on the edition 50, the same car minus the cosmetic package will be released as a 2019 model sometime in 2018. From the material I have seen I believe they won't start building them until the spring of next year.

I was just notified that all of the corporate paperwork for all of the GTR and GTC models has been completed and they are on schedule to do a mass release tomorrow 10/3.
Lets hope so!!

Over the past year or so I have received conflicting information regarding the availability of the AMG GT/S/C/R. I believe that no one really knows (except for Germany I suspect). I ended up getting myself a brand new P and will get my GTC when MB finally gets its act together. I configured my GTC Coupe (non-edition) last week complete with pricing and was told that I should have it in January. Not holding my breath...

They’ll run all of the Edition 50’s at once and immediately continue running the GTC’S. See the pics of the white GTC I posted.

I happen to know for a fact there is a GTC Ed50 Coupe in Magno Graphite available and leaving the VPC any minute; if you want to talk to the dealer send me a PM and I'll get you in touch with him. It my personal allocation, I ordered three cars last year GT R, GT2 RS, GT C Ed50. If I was allocated the GT2 I would have kept the GT C; but Porsche offered me a GT3 instead (which I passed on), so I kept the GT R and have no need for the GT C.
