Jimmy and Rich! You'd asked for it!

Here are the new Dronell 15-spoke wheels with a "hand polished" finish (not chrome but looks just like chrome). Note: the blue color on the lip is just the protective cover (it actually has a chromed lip).....oh, check out how phat the lips are - these are just the 8.5" fronts...

These are 19" BTW.

A photochop of the Carlsson 1/16 Brilliant vs Dronell 15-spokes.....unfortunatley I don't have a better pic of Dronells so the rim looks thicker (with the phat lip on the orig pic) and would probably not look as good as the Carlssons......I'll leave the rest to your imagination:

What do you think? (Just curbed my rim, again and was wondering if I should change whilst I'm at the shop....... )

Hahhahhah, I wish! Haven't got them....yet. Still have the one's on my sig (which I just curbed!).

These are Japanese made Dronells. My wheel guy in HK just had them in (had the regular polished finish version already late last year) and suggested them to me and another member. They're approx HKD5,000 (approx. USD641) each, less for the polished look - very good price for a forged wheel.....very lite, especially considering the Carlsson's would cost almost double (without this sick new finish). Dang! The guy is such a devil

I like the phat lip look (currently have them as you might notice). I agree, at least on the study pic the Carlsson's look nicer but I think it is really because the rim turned out weird on the Dronells. The Carlssons also don't have the bling. What I'm torn about is whether I should give up the cyber-look of my MAE look-alikes (which attract loads of attention, from cabbies especially)......opinions very much welcomed and appreciate, guys

Those are sick Whitey. I have always liked the 1/16's but not for the price. Those are great alternatives. Hurry up and get them on your ride. You are going to go 19's aren't you , lol...

IMHO, wheels with lots of thin spokes look better on coupes. For sedans, it looks too busy.

Thanks Hank. I hear u and I used to think the same but looking at Pete's old car, in its earlier guise with the HREs, I'm having second thoughts. Anyways, so do you think my current wheels look better?

Hahahhahahhaha.....fxck! :p

Here, a really early study I did with ATP Alp's (similar style). What do u guys think of this - IMO this comparison really helps demonstrate what Hank is talking about but the multispoke spoke don't look too bad, right?:

You're right, lol. They still look phat IMO. I really like them as I've always liked the 1/16's and I like them even more with those fat lips...

Go with those DORNELS they are HOT.
I had Dornels on my C class, they strong and good quality.
Just my few cents.

Hummmm...Whitey I'd SHOOT you if you don't pull the trigger on these wheels. j/k Again your amazing photoshop pics really helps visualize...and they look mega awesome on your car!!! I do agree with Hank that multispoke wheels look sleek on coupes, but your pics respresent they are as badass on the sedan's as well. I'd hate to be in your position right now...cuz your Luftdrag's w/meaty lips RoCks

Yeah its such a dilema Rich! But these have the same phat lips too - 4" rear and 3.5" fronts......

Unfortunately I'm still hearing mixed opinions about the multi-spoke look......folks, so do u prefer full face (i.e. mine) or spokes?

Thumbs up Nice stuff

Whitey, those are nice, your car dont need them.(playin devils advocate) plus they are gonna be fun to clean, unless your using dustless pads.

On the other hand, they are blingin, and if Im not wrong,ATP is the same as AT Italia. I rashed one of mine too,I could use some advice on whether the scratch can be buffed out.

So many choices, but I think you got your car in a good place,Mod-wize.Remember bro,,,women go thru the same thing,,but all they buy is shoes,Thank God.

Thanks for trying to bring me back Steve.......but I also have the same problem with watches and women, hee, hee - I really think its an illness of some sort.

You'll usually need to use a rotary grinder to smooth out those rashes. I get mine done at the wheel shop..........that's the problem - I might leave with a different set of wheels, LOL! Lets see what sort of a deal I'll get on a trade in.......
