radio issue after changing battery
wow, it seems i may have found the reason the previous owner traded this car in. i am having problem after problem with this car. tranny, radiator, electrical issues...
here is the latest one to try to solve:
i had a dead battery, jumped it, got to the auto store, had the battery tested and found it to be bad. got a new one, installed it. great, car starts right up and i drive off. then i go to turn the radio back on and NOTHING. it won't turn on at all. on the COMAND unit, when you switch to the audio section, it would normally say "Audio Off," but now it just says "AUDIO ------"
i checked to make sure the fuse wasnt blown and it appears good. swapped it for another fuse just to make sure, and nothing. i guess, the next option is taking out the radio and checking to see if its even getting power.
i did read on the fuse diagram to follow the Owners Manual instructions for radio issues, but i searched up and down and found no instructions. am i missing something? do i need to reset it somehow?

oops....forgot to add the other issue as well now.
the reverse lights stay on 100% of the time.
also, the left side reverse light acts as the blinker, ie, it flashes when you lock/unlock, use the blinker etc.

Pretty sure you need to enter a code after the power has been disconnected to your stereo. The "------" is how many digits are in the code.
You will need to take it into the dealership as they do not like to give the code out over the phone as you could be someone who stole the radio (I have gotten them to give me the code over the phone but it took some SERIOUS sweet talking and my VIN number).
As far as the reverse lights you got me, I would take it to the dealership and have them hook it up to STAR.
