Low Coolant Warning
I keep getting a low coolant warning in my display when I start my car, the coolant tank is full, any idea if its a sensor and where is it located, it also pops up when I am on a local highway and there is a sharp right curve and pops up at the exact same location.

You need to make sure that the coolant tank is filled all the way to the top....with no more than an inch of space from the filler cap. If it's as much as 2 inches from the top of the cap, that warning can be set off.

When you fill it to the top, make sure you're using the exact same coolant that's already in there. Mine has blue coolant from MB. Some cars have pink or yellow. Wait until the engine has fully cooled before adding. Just make sure it is OEM MB coolant.
If after you top it off, you start to get a coolant odor when driving your car, don't worry about it as there is a valve that may release the extra coolant when fully pressurized.

This older thread sure helped me. Thanks for the clues...
On my 2012 S550 , I'd gotten a few momentary coolant level warnings over the past few months. As I recall, they happened during for than moderate acceleration. Yesterday, while in slow, stop and go traffic, I got the full yellow coolant temperature warning on the dash. The coolant temperature gage was erratic and was bouncing from 85C to 100C.It never hit red at 120C, no steam, and no apparent leaks.
After it cooled down, I remove the coolant cap and it sure looked full to me.
Long story short, I swear that I added less than a quart of coolant and the overheating problem was solved. Today, the coolant temp gage held at a rock solid 90C. When measured cold, the coolant level may have been about 1/2" below the white plastic "blade". After adding coolant, I measured it at a 1/2" above the blade.
According to the cryptic Owner's manual, when cool, you need to be level with the blade to 1/2" above the blade. I bought the car with 40,000 miles, and currently have 72,000 miles. I 've never added coolant. The Owner's manual requires 325.0 or 326.0 coolant.
I got my 1 gal MB concentrate on Ebay; delivered for $30. (a lifetime supply).
Cut 50/50 with water. Now I have almost 2 gal (two lifetime supply).
Now that I am educated... I'll keep an eye on it, and let you know if it happens again, or I find a leak.
