How reliable is your GL?
To all 2013+ GL owners, how is reliability been for your car? Has it been in and out of the shop a lot? Has it broken down in the middle of the road? Also have you had any malfunctions in the interior? I've had my GL550 for a few months now and have had the occasional glitch in the COMAND system but a friend of mine I guess got an unlucky unit because his kept going in and out of the shop. So I wanted to hear what are the common issues for most of the GL owners here.

We just got rid of our 2008 ML320 CDI and purchased a new 2015 GL350. Hoping that the GL is as reliable as the ML was. We didn't experience anything costly until we got up near ~120k miles.

No major issues, my 2013 and 2014 have been rock solid.
I bought extended limited warranties on both, it's a no brainer as you get a refund of unused warranty when you trade/sell it (with some caveats).

I have a 2015 GL350 with 25,000 miles.
This has not been a good vehicle (I have owned reliable Mercedes models in the past).
Software flats for backup camera took 3 days to complete...dealership felt bad so they filled my diesel tank with gasoline ( on accident)...this took them another week to fix to replace filters and drain and refill tank.
3 tail lights have burnt out.
Video system headset problems.
Wife was rear ended and it took Mercedes 2 months to source bumper cap. During repair they broke the plastic Adblue tank by installing the metal support bracket into it the wrong way ...metal support bracket installed into plastic tank? Are you kidding me? This took dealership 10 days to source parts.
Just took vehicle in on June 11 to fixed left third row seat because it won't completely fold into floor and we get a warning on dash saying it's not locked. Second issue is tailgate won't open all the way and when it does it sags. _-- got GL back yesterday and tailgate was fixed and was told 3rd row seat was fixed (the replaced locking mechanism, seat frame, motor and gear set) but when I got into car I immediately saw the same warning I took it in for and it still won't close all the way. So it has to go back in again for this repair. I saw the repair bill...$4,300...and it still not fixed.
All this has happened in the past 18 months.
Thankfully this is a leased vehicle.
