Hey everyone!

Hope everyone is doing okay. I recently bought a used Mercedes Benz E220 Avantgarde which was made on the August of 2007 (Also heard the word "Evo" being used to describe the car). It's a really nice car and all, but I'm upset that I cannot find the option to auto fold mirrors that some <2005 models have.

Is this common on my Mercedes E220? There is no convenience option in my settings. I can manually use my hands to fold the mirrors but I wanted to know if it can be done automatically?

First step would be to look at your car's build codes and see if you even have that option installed. Here's a link to a thread that has the list that will decode your build:

I don't know my way around that. I'm quite new to the Benz world. Picked this baby up a week ago. Not to mention it's my first car.

Try getting a data card on your car. Usually, to do that you plug in your VIN into a Vin decoder, and it should tell you what is installed.

Run a search on this forum for VIN decoders and you should come up with a couple of sites.

I just decoded my VIN. But it only gave me general vehicle information and nothing else.

Did you check what it says against the options codes listing that rapidoxidation sent you?

Basically converting it to auto fold, have to change the module on the door, and the side view mirrors.

Couldn't find anything having to do with mirrors.

Yeah, I guess that's what it comes down to. But first I want to invest on one of those Android Stereo/Monitor thing. They seem good, way better than what I currently have.

Or are they useless?

Mine e200 2006 has this problem. ..there is no convenience on the menu...I heard something about das/star
