2017 C300 vs 2014 E350
whats good mb world?!
i was torn between the new C vs the old E (not really old but since they redesigneded this year its now older body) ...at the end i chose the new C. There is a forum similar to this in the E212 forums and they are all bashing the new C. so just wanted to get everyones input in the C205 Forum..IF YOUR READING THIS PLEASE give me your input. Thank u !! ready, set, Go!!

I got a 2016 C300 after my 2014 E350 came off lease. The backseat of the C300 is much tighter than the E350. Although the C300 has the smaller engine, to me, it feels quicker and more responsive. I actually find the C300 more fun to drive.

The W212 was a bit of a disaster for Mercedes. Tepid sales led to what is now a record for the most money ever spent by MB on a mid-cycle update. Interiors are very boxy and dated looking, materials are cheap. At least the CLS version gives you a nice exterior. The W211 on the other hand is my favorite mid size sedan design. If I needed more space than the C I'd be looking at a used W221 S Class.

Mike, I appreciate your thoughts on this. I have a facelifted 212 on lease, have driven the 205 and 213. I recall you yourself describing the 205 interior as nice, but only skin deep. To me the 213 E is nicer than the 205 as expected, but not my much. I've been in 221's, and they are quite nice. Seems to me, based on interior quality alone, the only current offering of significant quality is the 222, which I've not experienced.

My reservations about a C63s involve the suspension as well, which is universally panned as being unnecessarily harsh. If you were picking a sport sedan up until now based on a balanced suspension that afforded decent ride quality without sacrificing handling, the ATS-V was the ticket, although the rest of the package is a let down.
But the Alfa seems to tick off every box. A little quicker than the C63s, the M3, and the ATS-V, a great looking body kit and wheel package, a killer exhaust note, a business like if not especially elaborate interior, and a loaded MSRP for around the cost of a loaded E300.
The downside is a sparse dealer network and a manufacturer with either no track record on reliability, or a poor one, depending on when you start counting. I'd be happy to roll the dice on a lease for a couple of years.
