Hey guys, my daily is a 1999 e55 AMG looking for a TCU module for sale.

My e55 is currently on limp mode and star doesn't seem to pick up any codes. I went on changing the adapter plug because it was leaking but didn't seem to do the trick. When i went to check the TCU it was flooded with transmission fluid. i went on to clean the inside of the TCU with electronic cleaner but didn't do nothing. So I'm now looking to buy a TCU module (Part number 021 545 87 32). Can't seem to find any TCU around me. Im located in the Bay Area, California. Let me know ASAP I'm missing my AMG!

Wouldn't that be married to the VIN?

If not, I have one for a 99 c43 which might work(not sure)

C43 would only work if you change the rear diff. You hav e2.82 from factory. c43 is 3.07. You could upgrade though!!! You buy a c43 trans comp and 3.07 rear diff from e320.

From what I remember Egs51 TCU's are interchangeable and NOT married to the car. So if you find an e55 of the same year it will work. Even an E430 will work but it may shift slightly different from the e55. Same gear ratios though.

Just a little update,

Purchased an e55 AMG tcu module, deleted the codes and everything worked just fine. a C43 tcu would also work in the e55
