Mercedes GLK
Brakefluid GLK 2013

Hello!

I own a GLK 220CDI 2013. I wonder which type of breakfluid you guys are using. Is regular DOT 4 ok, or should I go for DOT 4+?
I read somewhere that DOT 4+ should be used if genuine Mercedes fluid is available.

Thanks in advance!

Best regards

Anders

I don't normally buy OEM-branded fluids for vehicles. In the case of brake fluid for my wife's GLK, I used ATE Typ200. I believe it exceeds even the + rating for DOT4.
If you can't find it, don't worry. Most big name DOT4 fluids exceed the minimum requirements by a lot.

p.s., it's brake, not break.
