Telephone Volume Too Loud

Hi Folks,

Anyone here experience an incoming call on the mobile phone while it's connected via Bluetooth and the volume of the ring is too loud? I end up having to manually turn it down after each incoming call.

Is the volume set to a default level or can this be adjusted in any way?

Hope someone on the forum can share any fixes to this issue.

Thanks in advance!

- Rick

On the Bluetooth connection screen there is details screen where you can adjust the transmit and receive volume for every Bluetooth connected device (the device need to be connected to adjust.

There is a setting that can put the volume level wherever you want for every phone call. I don't remember where it is exactly but you can adjust the volume for the incoming calls, parking assist, blind spot assist, etc. I did this for my navigation and phone calls.

With the radio on, go to the sound options, there is submenu for other options, its there. You can also do through vehicle settings.

Did you fix the loud phone ringtone volume issue? I have the same issue with my new car picked yesterday. I found the setting but it always went back to the default loud ring volume even I changed it multiple time! Not sure what's wrong with the Command software?

Go to the main menu than to setting then choose audio & select the phone ringtone volume setting. The default is 47. I tried to make it lower but once the incoming call ring, it will go back to default again!

doesn't it work ther same way as the volume of th gps?
Ie as soon as the phone rings you turn down the volume and the vehicle retains this level?

Went to Mercedes Benz Services earlier, they couldn't figure it out Why the Phone Ringtone Volume function not working. Suspecting it could be bugs in the software, might affect lots of other owners having the same problem too.

They booked my car in for investigation this coming September. Will let everyone know the update

Hi Everyone, MB service had a good investigation on the "Phone Ringtone Volume" not being able to set at the level you one. They confirmed it is a software issue. They will bring up the issue with Mercedes Benz. Nothing much they can do about it at this stage, hope the new software update will fix the problem. You just need to adjust to volume manually everytime the phone ring.

These values should not be randomly altered, each device uses a, by Mercedes, optimized preset.

Values can can be found here:
http://www.mercedes-benz-mobile.com/

Choose vehicle and then scroll down to "Bluetooth Connectivity" and select your device.
