w213 has been out in europe already as it is a 2017 model there

PP-performance says stage 1 is 680ps so 670 hp (from 603 stock), so basically same as what tunes do on our cars (pick up about 60-70hp)

seems like it must be launching better if its getting 10.9 with relatively slow trap speed of 126mph... if it had a worse launch then it would of ended up with higher ET and higher trap

but then again this is at Yas Marina dragstrip and too much issues with times from that track to take anything that comes out of there seriously until they get their NHRA certification back.... here is PP -performance running 10.3 @ 140 mph there too in a W212 E63

also looks like PP-performance finally has a north america location opened up... looks like they are partnered up with autotalent here... wonder if we will start seeing better W212 numbers now as seemed only them and GAD where producing any decent times... some members that live close should go by and check them out

i just think it would be funny to have a "PP-Performance" sticker on my car so people would think i was selling ***** pills "oh god here comes that PP-performance guy always hauling *** in his car"

Tunes for the 4.0tt have been out since the gt and c63S ... 2015? I'm not too surprised there is an iteration of the tune this quick for the new 2018 e63

When I was talking to the AMG guy when he had the W213 showing the dealer, he did mentioned they do not share the same internals as the GT and C63s so most likely would be a different tune.

AMG has been upping their HP/TQ from the standard E63 and performance pack ( 2010-2013 ) to standard E63 to E63s ( 2014-2016 ). The w213 is the most powerful e63 thus far.

everyone sees it but you have to take it in the context of "PP-Performance and Yas marina" ....

PP-performance put out a 10.6 @135 mph back in 2014 in M157 on tune+ dp's at same track... how many M157's have you seen actually run that on tune+dp? see a trend at yas marina? so given that trend, that 10.9 @ 126 the W213 did is probably actually a bit slower at any other track, so kinda disappointing results given context of pp-performance + yas marina


so if we take both results at face value, they were able to make a M157 go a lot faster on tune than the new w213, which seems odd or sad as everyone was having high hopes as W213 being steps ahead.... now granted I dont take their results too seriously and will be waiting to see what other tuner are able to do at actual certified strip

It's not that low...unless comparing solely to the w212 which needs abnormally high traps speeds to run decent times...but that track can't be trusted so we need reputable data before we can draw any real conclusions.

yeah seems to be based on what we see at that track so far, but does seem to have a better 60ft given the far slower trap while still having similar et to the faster W212 examples there

but like you and I both said, until we actually see some times from some trusted tuners at legit tracks its all still unknown
