Profiles
I am sorry if this has been asked already. But how can you link the profiles with the keys. If I drive my car I would think it would know that it is my profile driving the car, if my wife drives, shouldnt it know that it is the other key and activate the other profile/seat settings etc.
It may not do this.... My previous car knew who was driving the car by the keys.
Is there something I am missing?
Thanks again for your help ahead of time!
On another note, does the car always start in comfort mode? Is there a way that you can have it start in the last mode used?

Coordination with the key in use is not an E Class capability. It should be.
IIRC the car always starts in ECO mode.
I have forwarded these issues along with several others "up the chain" to MB product management several times.

MB cars (at least the C and E) do not have profile keys. That's why there is no key 1 or key 2. The memory settings are controlled by the door memory button. The seat does not move to its previous position automatically either, you have to hold the button the entire time. My guess is sometime in history some "little Johnny" got crushed by a car seat somewhere, ergo, MB does not offer this simple things for "safety" reasons. One thing is true, however, MB seats do have an incredible range of motion both up and down and, fore and aft. They want to make sure anyone can fit just right in their expensive shiny cars.
