2004 E320 with DTC P20D4 and P203B
Hello,
Given I recharge the main battery off-line and replace the fuel pump relay to deal with the issues of random misfire and won't crank a few weeks ago, it is somehow the misfire issue comes up again, and now it is even worse all indicators light up after misfire.
I check out the DTC with advance OBD scanner to conclude the DTC P20D4 (Stored) and P203B (Current and Stored) and google it seems pointing to faulty accelerator pedal. I also did another seach on the forum and google, it seems no procedures to assist me to replace the accelerator pedal I bought over Ebay as part of solutions when I encountered the misfire and won't crank issues a few weeks ago. Can somebody kindly share the procedures or photos to guide me to replace the accelerator pedal?
Or someone may point out other possible root cause? Thanks.
Have a nice weekend.

I just replaced the throttle pedal minutes ago, two DTC are still there with the detailed messages
DTC Description Status
20D4 The load limit is active (P1999) Store
203B Fault of function monitor in electronics accelerator (P0221) Current and Stored
Is there any clue of those two DTC of W211?

Please allow me to summarize the information below to make it read easier as well as the screenshot of advanced OBD scanner, that's all I have in hand for your information.
a. Symptoms
- Randomly acceleration hesitation and engine stall when deceleration.
- Engine runs not smoothly/ a little bit rough when idle.
- Engine stop and all lamps of Instrument Column are turned on when I brake the car till full stop, I have to remove the key to restart the engine, this issue is seen within a week, and being more frequent to be seen.
b. Actions taken for randomly acceleration hesitation, and engine randomly stall when deceleration
- Off-line fully recharge the main battery installed within two years.
- Replace Crankshaft sensor.
- Replace fuel pump relay.
c. Two DTC of ECM
- P20D4 The load limit is active (P1999), status: Store
- P203B Fault of function monitor in electronics accelerator (P0221), status: Current and Stored
d. Another two DTC of rear SAM and DCM_FR (Door control moduel front right), I am not sure they are relevant or not, just for your information.
- 9078 Communication with component H3 (Alarm signal horn) is interrupted, status: Current and Stored.
- 9205 The output of M21/2r1 (mirror heated) has short circuit to ground, status: Current and Stored.

It comes a new update here, I replace a brand new MFA per the advice from a non-Mercedes dealer per his experience that the faulty MAF even you clean it again and again that could cause random engine stop especially during deceleration stage. What turns out is, the rough idle becomes quite minor, but I still experience one time engine stop during deceleration stage when I drive about 50 miles. Keep watching!
