Tanzanite and Capri blue the same color?
It looks to me that in US the color you call Capri blue is the color we call Tanzanite blue in Europe
If i am correct about this i wonder why the same Mercedes color is called 2 different names and also if this goes for any other Mercedes colors?

Color code 359 is what you are talking about. The color name is just a marketing term. "Capri Blue" is the sales name, "tanzanite" is the internal color name. many colors are like this. For example, my CLK was code 357. The internal color name was "Iolite Blue", but the marketing name was "Cadet Blue". Maybe in non-USA markets, they just use the internal paint name instead of the "marketing" name. Oh, and here's another - my SL is code 755, which is "Metallic Gray", but the internal name is "tenorite gray".

Tectite Gray was an interesting color. In some cars, like the W211, it was fairly common, but on others it was either not offered or was just rare. There was once a "rumor" that is was really a Deisgno color, so that made it popular since it came without the Designo upcharge.
Note that you can have nay MBZ painted any color you want - they will charge you a "custom order fee" plus the cost of the paint. I once placed an order for an R171 in some awful orange color, but it's what the customer wanted and was willing to pay for.
