Paging Ceramic Brake Owners

How often do you weigh the rotors, and what sort of loss rates are you experiencing?

They should last longer than that, but that's completely unrelated to the questions I asked.

I had the dealer measure them and they show little wear after 16k miles. They measured at the wear points.

That's interesting. How is the label used in measurement?

I discovered this product and submitted an inquiry, however I suspect it's cost-prohibitive for a do-it-yourselfer like me:

That tool is $6500 new, probably could get your money back by selling to a shop when done.

The stickers I think are a rudimentary way or measuring at the three wear indicators on each rotor. The squares supposedly start to fade/disappear with increased wear. Going to ask my SA next week and will post better info. That laser measurement it the only precise way, followed by weighing each rotor.

I have a real problem selling tools, so if I bought that, I'd never recoup any money from it. That kind of coin buys me a CNC tube bender. I'll pass.

So, when you go in for service, they apply the sticker to the rotor and check for a color difference? Am I understanding that correctly?

I look forward to hearing what your advisor says. Please keep us updated. Thank you.
