The trap speed of the GTR is not too shabby at 127.6... and I was not shocked by the results either:
And last years WGDR6 where the GTS ran a 126.7 trap with the same 11.4 quarter:

For sure, I always have liked WGDR Vids sans a little of the commentary because its just a "real world" race and go from a dig with trap times. Its interesting to see how the AWD cars just leap out and then slowly get reeled in.

Thanks for posting Vic55. Owning a 17 turbo s it’s amazing to see what Porsche has done with this car. Just a beast that you can drive across country and in all seasons. No one does it better!
BTW did you see who the new king of the ring is? No real surprise this gt2rs is just a monster.

Those awd cars definitely hook, but I have to give it to McLaren, the 570S/gt with only rwd hook bigtime(unlike the AMG's), and on narrow tires. Pretty impressive. They also have the top end to stay out front or to reel cars in. If they could fix the understeer and heat soak I'd probably be driving one over the GT3.
Many say that 1/4 mile races don't mean much, but in real world around town situations and for fun(and in Mexico of course), you are more likely to race your car from a stoplight than from a roll, unless at an event.

I agree and probably in that order or maybe the Turbo S in third. . If it goes beyond a 1/2 mile, up to a mile, I'd be curious to see where the 650/650 1LE Camaro would be? because that's when the hp starts to show. 488 still first at all distances.

I think either of them tuned, or even the Nissan GTR tuned, would make for an interesting race, I'm sure there are videos out there. The AMG's tuned or stock are definitely better at roll races or 1/2-1 mile runs because of the lack of traction from a dig(I know that you know that, lol), but when they get going they are friggin going strong. Interesting to see the difference between the mid engine 570 and the front engine AMG's, that little bit of weight difference towards the back end really makes a big difference in traction for the Mclarens, since they are very close in power numbers. But, that is probably why the 570's understeer so much compared to the AMG's, which has stellar turn in. Amg's are definitely a better track weapon over the 570 Mac's, which in reality is all that AMG cares about.

Wait the $180,000 AMG got dusted? Really... I'm confused...
