Turn signal shift knob too stiff?

Turn signal shift knob too stiff?
Does anyone else have this issue on their GLC / GLC Coupes? It feels kind of hard to push up or down, and does so with a loud "click"
I do not remember it being like this when I test drove the car .. (mine is a custom build)
Every other car I have ever driven has been so smooth, this just feels awkward! Maybe MB wants me to learn how to drive like a Bostonian without turn signals?

Haven't noticed any issue with mine.
Sounds like when you try to put the indicator on when the steering wheel is just in the position where it wants to cancel the indicator.....if you get my drift! !
Edit..Don't know about Bostonians but you should try driving in Paris!!!!

I've complained about his to my wife, compared to how her '17 BMW X3 feels... smooth as glass! I think I'm like you, arch85. Made me not want to use it at first.
I don't know if I'm getting used to it or it's getting broken in a little. Thanks for reminding me how annoying it is (or maybe was)!
Funny how you wonder sometimes, if something bugs you, "is it just me". Turns out it usually isn't!

Is a firm feel typical of MB vehicles? While such a firm touch was surprising to me at first I just assumed that was the intent. Definitely makes me think quality and long lasting.

Thank you everyone! I guess this is just one of those "as designed" flaws ...
Really wish it was as smooth as the distronic knob! Either way, I guess I'll get used to it over time Went on a long drive today and it didn't bother me quite as much as I thought it might, so maybe I'll forget this issue ever existed

While it's not my favorite thing about my GLC it is better than a 98 Pontiac Firebird I had that when actuated felt like it was breaking off.

is there anyway around this? I am sure this is not the case with all MBs but somehow the arm is not set up right. Past cars have had a very soft type action and surprised for Mercedes to have it this way.
