New spark plugs from dealer?

2015 c300 is in for service A. They call and say it needs new plugs, which is not covered as part of the prepaid maintenance. Is that correct?

Car has 40,000 kms.

They want $500 cad for the job. Is this a diy job?
Service guides I read show replacement at 4 or 6yrs.

They now say it is 4yrs 75k. But the car was calling for the change? They said I can wait until next year, which I will.

Can this be a diy?

40,000km change for spark plugs? sounds like BS.

Even to be conservative, I think you can stretch it out to 80,000kms.

A gaggle of MB's
Well... 4yrs/120K KM's..

You now know your "dealer" is a "stealer" - unless there was a specific fault - spark plugs are a 4yr/120K km recommended replacement.

Suggesting replacement at your time/mileage-km is they phone call to increase their service ticket at your expense.

Could it be DIY - sure - however I haven't seen useful video or photo's posted on how to do that job - yet !

Keep the beat !
