Lug Wrench Missing

I am going to email my SA about this, but I assume I am missing the lug wrench and another item from my trunk on my wagon. Anyone else with a sedan or wagon can confirm a lug wrench comes with the car? Thanks

W212 wagon
I assume it’s on purpose given now spare. Did they include a jack?

and it doesn’t look like there’s an empty spare wheel well. Is there any storage space under the rear hatch where the spare would be? I was hoping to do a subwoofer...

Lug wrench was ordered, as it was missing from my wagon on delivery. Suppose to have it by Tuesday.

My SA told me that the lug wrench isn’t included in the USA cars.... missing on mine too.

My SA checked another E AMG they had at dealer to be delivered & it had the wrench in trunk and said it was suppose to be included. We even went to parts and printed schematic and they said it was to be included too. The jack & tire stop aren't included per the parts dept., which is fine. You may want to check with the parts dept to confirm it's to be included. It's not like I can do much without a jack anyway.

Ah yes, ye olde lug wrench side deal scheme. That's why vehicle preparation for a lot of the Editions 1's took so long -- many of the technicians walked off the job after becoming millionaires. 😜

Unique lug nuts or wheel locks?

We recently took delivery of an E63S wagon. As others have previously noted, there is no lug wrench in the back of our car either. The car has the 20" AMG Black Cross-Spoke wheels (package RTS). We did *not* order wheel locks and to my knowledge the dealer did not install wheel locks either. However, every lug nut on every wheel has a unique "torx-like" pattern. I've attached a picture. We've believe we've thoroughly looked all around the vehicle for a lug nut key and can not find one. Are these lug nuts just some standard part I need to order a new wrench for? I'm working with my SA to understand what is going on here, but my experience is folks on these forums know more than he will...

With these cars we would be so screwed if we got a flat tire. I guess just call the MB 800 number and have the car flat bedded to the dealer would be the best bet.

I just my wagon back finally after almost 3 weeks to fix the air body control unit, now I'm going to check tonight to see what my lugs look like since I have the same rims.

I agree, that would be my course of option should that ever happen.

That is the Mercedes lug nut design. It is commonly called the flower head design. As well, it normally has a chrome cap on the lug nut which can sometimes come off depending on which socket style you use to remove. They do sell a unique socket to avoid damage:

I'd keep the socket along with a tire repair kit (plug and some hand tools) to plug a tire if ever stranded after driving over a screw / nail.

I guess another reason to have the car flat beaded straight to the dealer with a flat. A regular garage would probably never have that socket and put vice grips on those lugs and strip them out, lol. The other thing thats strange about these cars is you'd think there would be a secondary cover over all that aromatic stuff under the lid you lift just to protect it all. Someone might attempt to put stuff under that hatch and it rolls around in corners and damages the air suspension or something. I was kinda surprised when I lifted that lid and saw the compressor tank and all those lines and valves exposed like that, I thought wow, this car must be missing a part or something that goes over that area. Of course no sense in calling the dealer, I'm sure they were so busy with other customers than to give me an answer, probably would not have known anyhow.

Multi-Point

5 or 6 Flat Sided
You can use ( I think it's a 17mm on it) regular socket. Sometimes the multipoint sockets end up popping the cap off so you can try using the normal 5 or 6 flat sided socket...(if that makes any sense). The flower one they recommend is to prevent any damage to the chrome cap on that lug.

I think I’ll end up using the dealer even for tires. Too many things to go wrong having bubba do tires at the local yocal tire place.
