NEED ADVICE HEADERS VS STAGE 1 VS NEW W205

Happy Friday everyone,

So the situation I find myself in is this

headers installed 2500 roughly

superchager 10 k installed

new w205

10 k down with alittle more monthly but not crazy

I have a 2013 c63 that i wrapped and did OE tune, but unfortunately i have found myself in a situation that I would like more power and the cost is almost a new car

what would you guys do? I love the car and it has treated me well, ive only had it for a year and would still eat a almost 15k downpayment to some extent because trade in value is only 5k over what i owe

Thanks

Wut? A new W205 doesn't make as much power as a W204 with headers, let alone a supercharger. You're not comparing equal cars.

No stock w205 doesnt make that kind of power, but the cost of mods for the w205 are alot cheaper then adding headers and superchargers.

so price of supercharger and headers for c63 = 15k roughly

w205 downpayment = which includes a newer car, and tune and downpipes at 4k is equal to the supercharger plus headers for older c63

and W205 makes more power

Stage 1 c63s makes ridiculous power. Header + tune on these W205 biturbos is absolutely ludicrous power. Too bad you're gonna fry the warranty and turbos lol

My buddy has a 2016 c63s amg and he made 480whp and 580wtq completely stock. Definitely makes more power than a w204 with headers and a tune.

I personally like the w204 a lot more than a w205, that is why I bought a w204 a year ago, don't love the exterior, don't like the interior at all and the 6.2l is just such a fabulous motor and likely the last of it's kind, but if you just want to make a lot of power, certainly the newer technology and turbo motors are the way to go, cheaper to mod and big power can be had!

I'll take a supercharged W204 63 over a 205 any day.

Forget dyno numbers I have real world results.i trapped 121-122mph on a full bolt on 204 and a friend was trapping 114-115mph in his c63s bone stock.

That same night my other friend was trapping 120-123 in his modded e63s.

Edit it was the normal 63 not an s model.

I don't believe you. That suggests the car is making close to 600 hp and 700 tq stock.

You’re in the W204 C63 forum asking about what you should do next and don’t like the answers you’re getting. I suggest that if you want validation you try the W205 forum.

Buy them both, mod them both, and then race them both to see which would have been the right choice.

My buddy trapped a 119 last night in his c63s. And for whoever doesn't believe his dyno I'll post that as well. 483whp/571wtq

I think something is off about that dyno. I don't believe that a stock C63 S is making more at the wheels than its advertised to be making at the crank. If that dyno is accurate, the C63 S makes nearly 700 tq stock. Bull****.

It was tested on a MAHA dyno, which are used by most of the manufactures. You don’t have to believe it, but the car is discutingly fast for being stock.

And again, would mean the car makes nearly 700 tq, stock. It's fast, but not that fast.

Edit: Other dyno.

So yeah, unless this particular C63 S is a factory freak, no way is it making 20-25% more power than it's rated at.

The newer turbo'd AMGs are typically putting down more power than rated from factory. Hell, I have over 760awtq in my E just off a tune and dp.

I love the w204, it will always have that place in my heart and the w204 c63 looks great, but the new tech + turbo's are nothing to fall asleep on and are monsters.

OP -- I'd get the 205. Newer car, newer tech, it's fun. You'll never get any money back sinking that money into your current car in mods.

Yeah, the E63 is even more absurd.

My buddy’s C63s made 510/600 with downpipes on the stock tune.

I don't doubt that the new C63 makes good power and has huge modification potential. What I don't believe is that this particular C63 S is making that kind of power stock. If it was tuned, it would make sense to me. Bone stock from Mercedes making almost 600 wtq? No ****ing way.

Believe what you want. I showed you the dyno, that’s all the proof I currently have.
