2015 C300 Project Build !

So I wanted a place to detail this project, as I have talked to quite a few guys here on the forums about my plans for this car as well as sourced a lot of ideas and parts here as well. Before I start this, I want to make clear that I chose this car very specifically. I understand I could have bought a c400 or a c43 or a c63, but for my reasons, economy not the least, I chose this platform. I love all of these w205 cars but if you don't like my choices, just remember they are exactly that...my choices.

For the rest of those interested, I finally got around to taking some decent pictures and wanted to start off with what I have done, and what I plan to do. I figure I have about 2 months left in this build so now seems as good a time as any. Would love to hear thoughts and suggestions for sourcing and any creative ideas, but i hope you guys enjoy this and get something out of it.

What is done so far:

Wheels:
Avant Garde M652 staggered in hyper-silver
19x8.5 et47 & 19x9.5 et53

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Front: 235/40/19
Rear: 265/35/19

Suspension:
H&R VTF adjustable coils
Front: -1.75" at 1/2 total travel
Rear: -2" at 3/4 total travel

I like them here, no rubbing but quite low and these things are great. Love the ride quality and flexibility. I will be adding adjustable dampers in the future but for now they are sitting on/next to stock struts.

Engine:
Dinantronics Sport - I think it is worth the money and you can feel it, but I am after much more boost so this likely wont last.
Weistec VTA - It makes a lot of loud and frankly obnoxious noise so will be coming off as soon as I have a replacement system.
Muffler Delete/Vibrant flex, resonator and cat. 2.5" piping downpipe back. - Not satisfied with any of the existing cat backs so decided to work with my local shop and make my own. Sounds great and is hi-flow enough for some top end changes coming in the near future.

What is on the way:

Engine:
FTP Charge pipe - this gives a more sustainable solution for running higher boost and has a bung for the Meth injection kit.
AEM Methanol injection Kit - self explanatory but generally cools intake temps by 100F and thus should provide more tuning flexibility down the road with higher boost, compression etc.
Weistec Downpipe - completes the turbo back exhaust
ArmaSpeed CarbonFiber High Flow Intake - Also self explanatory. They don't do much on their own, but should come in handy later on in the build.

Body:

Carbon Fiber GTX Spoiler
C63 Rear Diffuser
C63 Black Grill insert
Carbon Wrap for the front lip, rear diffuser and trunk strip and gloss black window trim
Custom made front splitter with adjustable rods.

What is planned for the future:

I am waiting for turbo kits.com to offer their upgraded turbo manifold with the AMR tune.
Upgraded intercooler
Full Dyno tune from a local shop (or I will drive up to see AMR in CT.)
Upgraded adjustable gas struts
RWCarbon Sideskirts and GTX diffuser
??? what else am I missing?

This awesome! You've done a lot of work on this. Question on the dinan tune you added, does that add boost in all the agility modes or just the sports plus mode?

Zimdad, Thank you! The Dinan works by intercepting the reported boost from the sensor to the ecu and reducing it by whatever the prescribed amount is thus forcing the ecu to add boost to hit programmed targets, so it should work in all agility modes. (as far as I understand it anyway)

Thanks for the info! I've been strongly considering adding it and seeing if it was worth it. Another thing I added to my car was the diamond grille that you see on the couple and really transforms the look. They've also started selling the new amg great grille which looks really nice to and can make it look really aggressive.

I’d say get one and try it out! I’ll be selling mine shortly but they aren’t expensive. I originally considered the diamond grill but saw another member in here that had his C wrapped all white with the black front grill and then also really love the way the single split grill looks so I went with a gloss black C43 grill but the diamond one was tempting!

Heymarkl, thank you! I ordered the first c63 rear end from muscle leopard and though the exhaust mount hangers fit perfect, the actual diffuser would not align and was about a half inch short in width. I have not heard back from them but thankfully Skim7x on the forum hooked me up with his rear diffuser that should be here this week.

Thinking about doing the same and then adding the "AMG" logo on the calipers as well.

There's a few places near Orange County where I live that does it.

I'm on the fence. I have seen them on a couple of cars on here and some I like and some I don't. Believe it or not, the dealership (at least mine will) paint them and do the decal. Technically they are AMG package breaks so I wouldn't have a problem with the logo. I think they want like $800 to do all four corners. I am sure it could be done cheaper somewhere else. Going to see My wrap guy today to plot that stuff out and he mentioned he could wrap them in a hightemp vinyl, which is somewhat appealing.

Any thoughts on the adjustable front lip (Not the rubber ezlip) There is a guy in town that custom makes these things and I don't hate them...

I'm all about front lips but can't seem to find any good ones that would look ok with the OEM lip already in the bumper ...

I agree, I think at this point a custom made one is gonna be the route.

Adjustable front lip

Lookin’ good!
those E-z lips you’re considering though, in my humble opinion, the metal shafts look a little tacky(just the metal shafts).
I say keep it classy~

lol I am on the fence, but to be clear I am not looking at the easy lip, but the carbonfiber splitter with rods, thta was just the best picture I could find. I will hold off on this one, get the rest of the car done and then decide.

After all the trouble I had with the rear diffuser I think I’m going to give it to the shop doing the wrap since he will have the front bumper off any way. No extra charge to install it or the gtx spoiler.
