Post Your Mileage on Your Tires

Lots of Tire Threads, I would like a dedicated thread to how many miles you got out of a set or how many you think you have left. Prefer not to talk about favorites pros/cons here, just stats.

Tire: Conti Procontact GX SSR
Miles: 15,000
Remaining Life: ~5,000 miles
Driving Conditions: All Seasons

I took off my OE run-flats before I put too many miles on them. They are sitting in my storage room and will stay there until my lease is up.

Run-flats:

-Wear out much faster than standard tires
-ride like they are filled with cement
-perform like they are made of plastic
-are stupid expensive
-and are required to be on the car and in good shape when the lease ends. So why pay extra to use crap tires? Buy a set of Michelin PS-4's and know what it is to ENJOY a set of tires

Well, I'm not advocating for any specific brand, I'm just suggesting for those that dont know, that [any brand of] of 'Run-Flat' tires are garbage. My post is the first and best advice that I give to everyone that lease. Luckily I did some research on the matter and didn't have to learn the hard way like many do. So forgive me if I didn't play by your thread's rules, but I think this is a very important topic to bring up when tires are mentioned

I'd like to hear how much miles people got on the stock pirellis, I'm at 2.7k miles and i drive hard, so i might need tires soon

I know you didn't want to talk about pros and cons, but the pirellis are terrible at high speed cornering, traction, and ride quality.

2017 C43, Pirelli PZero 19", fronts are shot with only 6500 miles, rears look like new. Trying to get some info/help from MB since I think there is an alignment issue with the car.

My p-zeros were pretty shot pre-10k miles. Dealer replaced

both front and rear? The dealers get $1,000 per car from MB. I’ve had previous issues that they still have not resolved so I was able to get MB to give me a tire/wheel policy and one lease payment, now they don’t want to help me with the tire issue. At this point I just want to know if the nature of the C43 is to have to front tires wear on the outside and be shot at 6500 miles

Fronts, rears would have worn out at a more normal 15-20k IMO.
Get MB of America on the phone and they will be able to do more for you. I had the same thing happen to me, dealer basically wrote me off as they thought they did "enough" for me and I had to escalate the issue. Bent wheels, tires that were unbalance-able and premature wear.

Already opened a case with MB and spoke with the Executive customer rep, explained everything in detail. He called me back on Friday and basically said too bad...I was not happy. He is supposed to get back to me before cob today and if he doesn't then I will escalate it even higher. This is not the way to treat a potential future customer since I lease my cars for short terms.

Pirelly p-zero runflats
Front tires were bald by 10K miles
Rear tires seemed ok for another 5K miles but had a nail in one of them. Irreparable.
Replaced front and backs with Conti DWS-06. 3K miles on them. Have been good so far.

Thanks...did your fronts only wear on the outside or across the entire tire?

ContiSport DWS 10k or so...question, how do we rotate tires? Does front left go to front right, and back left to back right?

Depends if the tires are staggered. If the fronts are different size than the rears you can't rotate them

If non-directional you can rotate left to right. Can't rotate front to back since we're staggered.

Ok since we have different tire sizes, that was what I was asking. So It is ok to put the front left on the front right and vice versa for the back two?

Well like I said in my previous post, 'Run-flat' tires only have a lifespan of about 50% of a standard tire. And that's being generous.

But this isn't the first thread I've seen about abnormal front tire wear. My fronts are going much quicker than the rears. and it's not an even wear side to side. This is some b.s. if you ask me

Everyone said those sales manager pushes were a scam! I decided to buy another one as I didn't want to waste the other 3 good tires for a whopping $560CAD. Hope they last long enough and wear out evenly so I can just swap out all of them.
