Key Fob battery
My key fob battery run low about 2 months ago which would have been 6 month after taking delivery. I thought this was strange given my Acura's battery is over 2 years old. Now just 2 months later I am getting the same change battery warning. Is this normal? What has your experience been. Is something wrong with my key fob? Did I get a bad battery? Any advice would be helpful.

I have not spoken with the dealer. I changed the battery today and will see how long this one lasts and I will check when I go in for service in the fall. If this doesn't last long I will reach out to them. I have put in the same 2032 battery but its Duracell vs Panasonic but that should not matter,

I don't know if that can make any difference. But I would check your owner's manual to be sure you are using the correct battery specifed.

CR2025 and CR2032 delivers the same voltage (3V) but the CR2025 is a bit thinner than the CR2032.
The manual for my 2018 says it should have CR2032.

So, it appears the new shape Smart Key cannot be used as an emergency key in the ignition after removing the Keyless Go button. Maybe the button is not removable, either?

To my understanding, the start/stop button cannot be removed. Im sure thats what you are also implying.
Im getting my car this week but as i understand it you can charge the key in the center console?

In her S211 E350 wagon, my wife could place the key into the ignition slot. Not so with her S213 wagon as the stop/start button is where the key would normally go. So, for an emergency start, like ua549 says, you need to place the "key" in the center console in the space to the right.
