Seeing The AMG GT Four Door In Person

Oh man, I just saw 9 different AMG GT4's in person. Some sort of testing/reviewing going on in Austin today. They were taking the cars on Mount Bonnell, which happens to be an everyday drive for me. ;-)

Seeing the cars in person on the road? They are certainly not for me. No way, no how. Too big, boxy. They look like they ride pretty high too. I think the CLS looked better than these cars. They may have a ton of performance that makes up for looks, but the Panamera is a much better looking car if you are shopping.

And using the GT name? Whatever.

I could have pulled the dash cam footage, but that was too much effort. Might have spent the time if I was floored by the cars good looks...

Here ya go. Saw two more running around this morning and grabbed some dashcam footage.. They are way taller than I expected. Note the blue CRV in the video...

I like it.
waiting for real tests now before ordering one.
I love the E63 but it would beat me too much with my average 20k miles/year on Chicago’s horrible roads so I’m hoping this car will have more compliant suspension options.

The suspension will be interesting. I would imagine it would be harsher than an E63. Hopefully they do have a "soft" version, but that one won't win over the journalists. Have you considered picking up a used S63? I would imagine that would have a softer ride, but I've admittedly never driven one.

AMG GT S
I saw it in Atlanta at the PL event. It was nice but not for me. Even if I were to buy a 4 door AMG again it would be an E63s.

Waiting to see the reports first, if true about hard suspension, S63 will be ordered and then re done by Brabus (mechanical only, leave cosmetics for posers)

Well, that’s ok, most of us buy cars for ourselves not to have them liked by everyone.
Well, as long as the wife approves..........

2020 Huracan EVO AWD - 2022 GLE 63 S Coupe - 2023 C63 S Coupe -
Thing looks huge! Looks like MB went back to the big General Motors barges of the 60's & 70's. Albeit with a little sleeker styling. All that's really missing now is some Cadillac Fleetwood fins - lol. Oh wait - there's one on the AMG One.

2017 AMG GTS
have seen one as well at my local dealer!! Badass ride! I like the interior except for the center console, I like the buttons more on the old style GT. But it sounded good, looked good just not for me! Enjoy the 2 doors instead of 4
