I would like to replace my serpentine belt on my 2015 GLK250. I am having trouble removing the air intake duct where it meets the hard plastic connection to the filter box. I have tried prying, however I do not want to break anything. Has anyone had success in doing this? I have attached a picture of the part. #12

It should just pull off. It clips on pretty snug but it will come off with the correct amount of force.

I know this is an older thread, just thought I'd share my experience removing the intake duct today. I too had difficulty pulling it off the filter box. I found heating the plastic joint gently with a hair dryer and then pushing down on the duct helped separate the joint. It still required considerable effort.
