VRP Secondary Exchanger Installed, Pics.
so Finally got a day off went and got it installed. I also did my IC Pump to turn ON when ignition key in the ON position as well. To be honest I really didn’t see a huge difference in IAT’s it was 92 degrees outside hottest it got 108-110. Usually it runs that way even before the secondary install, I have a super flow pump. I couldn’t really get on it due to traffic to see how recovery is but I doubt it’s gonna be a whole lot better. I’m hoping it made some difference.

well supposedly it works, for me I’ve been looking at my IAT’s for weeks now and know that just with the superflow pump I run 10-12 degrees above ambient when cruising. If I’m stuck in traffic, not moving about 20-25 above. Hoping Always ON pump will solve that a tad bit when stuck in traffic. As far as initially with this secondary I honestly can’t tell a difference. Maybe if I get a chance to get on it tomorrow see if it’s noticable at least in recovery. With just my super flow pump it takes anywhere from 20-30 seconds sometimes longer to go back to starting temps before wide open throttle run. Maybe it can cut that time down a little will see. Also keep in mind I haven’t yet been done testing it. So in another couple of days driving in stop and go and wife open runs I’ll know for sure and post with results.

This place is a joke.
Another myth about the factory intercooler pump- it comes on the very first time the engine sees any boost and stays on until you turn the key off - I tested it myself. And all these years and nobody to my knowledge has placed a temp probe in the inlet and outlet of any heat exchanger to see what's really happening. I still think the heat soak is at our too-small intercooler and no matter what size heat exchanger we have it doesn't make any difference.

yeah bro defo get some good data, it would help so many people, i feel u with a cm30 and heat exchagner i run the same temp as you, supposedly it will knock down recovery by 20 seconds. but is that worth it for 200 haha i may go with the underhood tank i feel like its the most safe effective way

ill get get back to you guys tomorrow for sure. Only diffinet thing I can say is cruising speeds nothing has changed. I have to check stop and go traffic and wot runs and will get back to you guys.

after i I decide whether I want to do headers or not I’ll either stay with the cooling I have or do meth kit. I honestly wasn’t expecting much as far as cooling with a secondary. I’ve modded so many cars that I’m never surprised when something doesn’t work as it’s stated or maybe it does and there are many different scenarios that get in the way, I don’t know. As we speak I’m now more focused on the belt slip I’m getting and ordered a BWK. Thought a slightly smaller and HD belt would help but nada. Nothing is easy for me, lol.

Ok drove it today to and from work and since I was monitoring IAT’s for weeks in this drive I know fairly well what to expect.
82 degrees outside cruising temp streets or freeway 96-97 IAT’s. This is were I can’t tell much of a difference from before at all. So in this area I’m gonna call it a wash.
Stuck in traffic 30 minutes stop and go and it would go from 97 to 100-101 IAT’s. Before it would climb to 115-120 IAT’s.
Now full throttle 1st gear till the top of 2nd reaches 132 IAT’s but within in 6-8 seconds quickly drops to 104 and another 5 seconds later to 100 degrees IAT’s. That’s coming to a stop so no airflow. On the freeway 3rd gear to redline and it would quickly drop back down to 96-97 IAT’s in 8-10 seconds. I know full well as outside temps go up IAT’s are equally effected. All I can do is show results based on outside temps as we speak.
This is not a scientific or tested to some people’s liking evaluation of a secondary heat exchanger. In my opinion there is no doubt that the secondary heat exchanger has worked. Thanks for the information. I was considering this exchanger a while ago but decided with my driving I would rarely experience any benefit over the PLM and updated Bosch pump. Great work!

no worries wish I was more specific but I’ve watched IAT’s for a while I knew if there was a change I’ll notice it right away. Wanted to mention as well it heats up at a slower speed as well which is another thing I noticed.

Its a good idea. Placement is adversely affecting total heat rejection. This should go where the air pump (is for most, WAS for me) - and have a pulled fan behind.

Fyi adding this extra exchanger won't change much with all the kinks and turns added..
Many of these products are gimmicks and don't do anything since the concern is adding more then the stock cooler can handle.
These cars are set from amg to flow what they based on as amg maxed out .

They have 2 heat exchangers the new ones??I have yet to see a amg come with 2 heat changers unless it's turbo..Turbo cars are not the same as supercharged cars as the blower is sitting on top if the block with a intercooler above it.

No stock car did ..Unless someone added it .Again.the cooler is the problem not the he..This the glory of blower cars many never had these cars of this nature so they think they run hot etc..If you had a cobra you would know about this situation .
