4. My dealer says they can not "delete" the brush guard due to highway safety regulations (but I bet they know someone who can
5. The main thing I am excited about on the new 19 G is the steering. With the old 1970s hydraulic recirculating-ball steering system, I always felt like I was going to drive off the road in sharp curves, and the thing just beat me up on long drives. Mercedes switched to a modern, variable-ratio rack-and-pinion steering system with adaptive electric power assist on the new 19 Gs so that is going to be sweet.
6. We are keeping our 2015 G550, it will live in Idaho as a grocery grabber only, no more long drives for the beast.

Here's what it will look like on the exterior (remember, this is the European version - the US version has a front brush guard)

Here's the latest communication from my fleet dealer in Seattle (10-5-2018):

"Hi Mark, The Vehicle is built and in route from Austria to the port for shipping preparation and ship assignment. I can provide you an update once the ship leaves the port with your Vehicle aboard. Typically from factory to the Port of Long Beach it takes roughly 45 days.

Now one factor that could delay delivery to the dealership is the US Department of Transportation has been very slow to certify all new 2019 vehicles being imported from Germany. Mercedes Benz currently has around 9 models that due for certification with the DOT, Mercedes Benz is not allowed to release the models for sale. They are expecting model launch and release towards the end of October. Hopefully Mercedes Benz and the DOT can get this all worked out before your vehicle arrives in Long Beach. I will keep you updated, as I check in with our distribution liaison frequently regarding the other vehicles being held. We, as you would understand are not happy about this but we are at the mercy of the DOT. They didn’t impose tariffs on Euro imports but they are making it impossible to sell some our vehicles at all now. "

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but it will obviously get here soon, so it's all good.

Thanks for you info. My G is just a little bit ahead of yours. It’s been at the port for about a week and it’s just been assigned a ship. My dealer won’t know which ship until Monday.

A gaggle of MB's
The "spec sheet" - the "$99,999" - is a default value in the MB internal system (rather than $0) to indicate the official MSRP has not been announced..

Exactly SO. The confirmation PO on my 2019 G63 listed the same $99,999 MSRP. I knew better than to get too excited.

Yeap, those numbers are just place holders, however, I don't think they will move more than 10% max.

2019 G550
First post on the forum, but maybe some helpful info in this thread. I’ve specced a 2019 G550 with very similar equipment to OP. Base price MSRP is $123K. Add those options and you’re looking at greater than $140K (which mine is also). Sales manager is offering a bit of a discount to me as a multiple prior buyer, but even then it’s MUCH higher than the $123K base price. Mine is scheduled for a first week of December build week. Delivery not expected until February of 2019. One piece of info they’ve been unable to confirm is whether or not the first round of US market cars will have the front brush guard; as they have been mandated on prior model years in this market.

My order sheet lists U.S. MSRP at $124,500. The brush guard is listed as standard equipment for my September build.

My G is just off the coast of Nova Scotia on a Wallenius Wilhelmsen ship. It shipped out of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, you can no longer search via VIN. Your dealer will need to tell you which ship was your car assigned.
