Moisture build up with AC on
Hey all,
So when I run my climate control in the car, is it normal to have this much build up of moisture on the windshield? I usually have everything set to auto but If I don’t change the settings then my whole entire windshield will fog up. Thought the whole point of the climate control was so I didn’t have to blast the windshield and roast myself with heat?

I am in the last days of having a 2016 GLC (until I take delivery of a new 2019 C300, currently in production)....and my GLC does what the bottom picture you posted shows on a very warm and humid day and in the first several minutes after starting the car and running AC. Whether I am heating or cooling, I always have the AC set to on so that the compressor dries out the cabin somewhat. I think it's caused from cooler air hitting the windshield which is warm, and there is enough humidity in the cabin since the car has not been running long. At least that's what I think is happening with my car. If your car is running for a while, the AC is set to on, and you still have that much condensation (or more) then something is likely wrong.
