Hi. I received it in an email from MB USA about how to use MB's Bluetooth technology. In the information "brochure" it had the notice about the incentive.

I haven't gotten this email. I'll be pushing my dealer on this however since I'll be taking delivery of the E450 before the end of the month.

Thanks for sending it! Turns out you have to have purchased a car prior to 7/31/18, so we just barely qualify as the car we're trading was purchased 7/27/18! Still, it's an extra $1,000 for an E Class

This is a loyalty bonus to present Mercedes Benz owners:

I believe the correct interpretation is that

1) To be eligible you must have purchased a Mercedes Benz vehicle before July 31, 2018.

2) You must presently own a Mercedes Benz for the years 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 or 2018.

That means if you bought a model Mercedes Benz model year 2012 to 2018 (last seven years) and presently own it and take deliver of a new Mercedes Benz before October 31, 2018 you are eligible for this incentive.

And I qualify by a whopping 5 days as I purchased the E300 on July 27th 2018, which I will trade for the 2019 E450 before 10/31/18!

As I remember, previous to the two cars you and your partner presently own, you owned other Mercedes that were between 2012 and 2018. So if you did not own your present cars, you would have owned your prior cars which would have qualified for the incentive - assuming you take delivery of your 2015 E450 before October 31, 2018.

IMO, this is just the beginning the incentives: I expect similar incentives for November, 2018 and even bigger incentives in December for the Winter sale when I take delivery of my 2019 E450 - at least I hope so!

Remember, Mercedes Benz sedan sales are really off compared to prior years as more and more people are moving to SUV. Also similar equipped BMW 540 are not only cheaper to buy than the E450 but also cheaper to lease. So I expect incentives to continue and increase.

Your memory is good. We had a 2016 E300 and a GLC300, which were traded for the E300 and E400. But they likely wouldn't count towards this incentive as the incentive wasn't in place when we traded them.

Yes this is a new incentive just announced.

My point is that you either way, assuming you take delivery by October 31, 2018 you would have received the incentive: the 2016 E300, GLC300 and your present car were all model years 2012 - 2018 that you owned at time of taking delivery of your 2019 E450.

IMO, it will not matter: I think there will be similar incentives, if not greater, for deliveries in both November and December.

I hope for anyone picking up their car in Nov/Dec there are great incentives. It matters to me because the second my E450 can come home with me, it's coming home!

not anyone who has purchased or leased in the past seven years.

I agree with you that in all probability there will be incentives for November and December is traditionally the "Winter Sales Event".

That's correct. You have to have a currently registered MB Car for the incentive to be applicable to your new purchase.

Interesting that this morning I received the email from MBUSA. But my email did not include the $1,000 incentive. It included everything else, with the same subject. I suspect they have mailing lists based on when one might have purchased a car and since my purchases are so recent, the system spit the email out to me without the incentive?
