C43/55 track car manual transmission conversion
Hi all
After much sheching I知 going to take the manual conversion on. I will do loads of pics and videos detailing how and why.
All parts will be R170 SLK320 sourced I値l trick the ECU with resister at least that痴 what I知 thinking.
Ive found a SLK320 in a scrap yard so will get the parts soon

Looking forward to seeing it. A guy in Los Angeles did it on a CLK430. I'll be curious what the weak point in that transmission will be with 5.4 liter power pushing through it. Going to use the factory SLK flywheel and clutch or use something like the Rennsport Factory setup?
Yeah that CLK430 video is cool I値l go all SLK parts to begine with but will later go Rennsport

I know a guy on the facebook group who used resistor(s) to trick the ECU into thinking it's always in neutral so it's possible. He claims to have already done this exact swap but that it slips. IIRC he wasn't sure if the motor was just too much for the transmission or if he just had a bad transmission

🤔 Could be the clutch slipping that痴 the weak point.
maybe an upretted clutch would help

I admire you doing a transmission swap out on the bricks, especially going into the winter in the UK.

Is the starter switch basically to bypass the Park/Neutral signal from the AT?
