Trailer Hitch for bike carrier
Hello all, I have placed my order for an E63 Wagon and would like to be prepared when it finally arrives back in the states. I would love to use a bike carrier but i know there is not one that is made for this car. Has anyone install a bike carrier on this car?

There's an OEM bike carrier in the accessories catalog.

I much prefer a rear bike carrier. Roof racks are fine, but require bike hoisting with potential paint scratches, you might need to remove the front wheel and carry it inside, it creates tons of wind noise and impacts gas mileage.
Get a Stealth hitch. Invisible when not being used and installed in the dead area under the bumper cover. They make a W213-specific version.
Combined with a 1UP rack you should be good to go. I've done this on other cars and will be my setup once I get my wagon.

Last time I talked to Steve, the owner of Stealth Hitch, they do not have a design for the W213 AMG models yet. I asked him specifically for a hitch to fit the E53 Sedan, but he told me that due to the AMG Exhaust, he would need an actual vehicle to take measurements to create the hitch for W213 AMG models. He is aware that there is a desire from the community for his product and is working to get sample vehicles in his shop for his measurements, but couldn't give me a time frame due to it's current unavailability.

The equipment code is 550
Seems like a lot of parts is necessary.
This is for the estate
With the factory mounted trailer coupling you can also order the bicycle rack for 2 or 3 bicycles.
A0008901100 for 2
A0008901200 for 3
I'm really missing the trailer coupling on my car, it became available just a few days after my order was locked for production..
