Tires shot

After 8000 adrenaline filled miles the front tire treads are shot. I have the Pirelli OEMs. What is the consensus on the replacement- Michelin Pilot Sport?

My P zero fronts were actually worn before the rear tires, more on the inside than the outside. Due I guess to the way they have the camber set from the factory.

Was looking forward to finishing off the rears with some quality drift mode time before swapping the tires out with Michelin PS 4s, but ended up with a sidewall puncture in the right rear about a week before I was going to do the replacement. Never got to enjoy some guilt free drift mode

So far, I'm liking the PS 4s but haven't yet had the car up to the mountain to see how they really grip compared to the P zeros. Honestly, I was pretty impressed with how well the car does with the P zeros, and if the PS 4s are that much better as some folks are saying, I expect to be really impressed.

BTW, the four tires and a 4-wheel alignment was about $1800 at my local dealer. Only the rear end needed any adjustment and that was very slight. So, I expect that I'll need to watch the front tires for wear over the next few thousand miles and start really keeping an eye out as I approach 8 to 10 thousand.

The fronts are gone, the rears are about 50-60%. I would keep going with this and try to wear out the rears prior to changing them. However I have to drive up to Ohio for Christmas and don't want to take a chance with bald tires.

I must be doing it wrong because I still have more than 50% tread after 7000 miles.

I like my P4s in the canyons, if you are lowered you will wear off the inside 1.5" of tire. You won't see it unless you turn your wheel full lock side to side.
The rest of the tire will look like new except for the inside edge..

My car is lowered but I did an alignment after that and have no problem. I assume canyons are the main reason why your tires are wearing out too fast.

Why amg had to have this camber setting so aggressive? Doesn't bode well for technical expertise on my book. We are basically driving an unaligned car...

That's right there is only front and rear Toe (directional) adjustment OEM.

No Camber or Caster allowing to adjust tire contact angles to cater for other then showroom height conditions.

Costly, premature edge tire wear brought about by day to day commuting encountering high cambered roads, altered height through load carrying or lowering, fitting wide profile tires / wheels.

Or simply the adjustment needed to correctly resolve steering pull, curb knock damage or ability to fine tune for performance driving, maximum grip on track days.

We saw the need to re-instate from the early 90's once again precise single wrench front Camber and Caster, rear Camber (and extra Toe) adjustable bush kits.

Fixing it right the 1st time - no more ongoing trips to dealers or alignment shops or constantly changing tire brands.

The unique K-MAC patented design provides precise adjustment accurately (under load) direct on alignment rack.

Replacing the 4 front and 4 rear highest wearing bushings at the same time.

Latest current generation kits have close on 5 times the adjustment range of the inaccurate "one offset position" fluted bolts. Noiseless, virtual lifetime maintenance free having twice the load bearing area of OEM bushings with noticeable improvement to brake and steering response. Bush extraction / insertion tubes included.

Also manufactured rear uprated bush kit for the '6' multi link arms. Reduced rear end flex / twitch, loss of traction. Especially when applying power lane changing / overtaking.

$480 per kit, delivery $30 ($20 each extra)
