TuneIn no longer playing a certain station in my car.

I've done all (logging out & in again, resetting/re-adding favorites etc etc)

when i add the station as a favorite to my account on the pc i can listen to it, and there after it also shows up in the car, but it won't play there .

This bug happened before, but all i had to do was go to another station & back again or reselect the flux
to get it to work again. - but this no longer does the trick.

As the radio station itself says there are no problems, could someone do me a favour and try to play it for me ?

go to search / country / Netherlands / favorites / and choose radio 538 ( https://www.538.nl/ )

i'm pretty sure that it's the car's software that is the problem, but in order
to be sure I need someone to test it for me with their TUNEIN app.

I don't think we have Tunein in the US on our cars yet?

I didn't say Tunein isn't available in the US. I don't think Mercedes provided the Tunein app for our cars in the US yet.

Ah yes, then I guess I would need a European to test it for me as i'm talking abt the TuneIn car app

That's great to hear in a sense. It knocks and item off of my to do list. I have been meaning to investigate why my Tune In didn't work. Thanks.

I was sure I had read somewhere here it wasn't provided by MBUSA in the US, so now I'll have to go look for it. Not that I need yet another streaming music service, but I'd be interested in seeing what it's like?

Doh, thanks for the info though. The last time that I checked my car was telling me that I need something from Mercedes Me Connect. Well, I guess I will dig back into it

that's ALMOST the one. (it's same station, but they have several different "versions")

(it's just "radio 538" (no ibizia or trance or one of the other versions they have )

you don't have to sign up but it's easier to add favorites via your pc

Thanks. When I got my car, and went to MB Apps, Tunein just spun and spun, so I forgot about it. I have plenty of streaming options, so it wasn't a big deal. This morning when I got in my car and tried it, it opened immediately. I'll have to play around with it and see if it offers any advantages over my current listening choices. But at least I now know it does indeed work!

An account isn't required but the signup is free and if you want premium no ads then there is a subscription free.

I have Tunein on Carplay. Works fine. Don't know if it would be any different from the Mercedes app.version.

So, I signed up on my laptop for a Tunein account. I went and picked favorites. Then when I got in my car this morning, I signed into my Tunein account and all my favorites were there, ready to go. Well, hold on there pardner. They display in the order I saved them. The station shows up. But and this is a big BUT, nothing plays. I am connected to Wifi in my car. I was out driving under a clear sky. But no sound at all. Unless I'm doing something wrong, it truly isn't a big deal. I have loads of streaming options and as you said Rusty, I can use Tunein via Car Play if'n I feel I really need to hear something there. Mercedes Apps are haphazard at best and often worthless or non-functional. But it does beg the question. Is there something else I should have done to get a station to actually play?

like I mention in my previous post: in the past quite often a station would not play,
but the work around was to switch to another station and back again.

or if the above didn't work, go to settings and choose a different "flux"
(maybe flux is a typical french word, it could be stream or source in the menu..?)

And you can also switch between app itself & the radio, because in the radio menu
TuneIn can also be accessed under source.

having said that, my bloody radio538 still does not work %§!$

Egon, I tried this morning on the way to work. I could not get TuneIn to connect - strange because it usually works. Will try again this evening on way home from work...

My connected just fine. And it looked nice on the screen. But it didn't play music from any station I had set up as a favorite. No point in have a music service which doesn't play music.

Yes. Nothing played. Which is odd, because it connected via MB Apps and showed my favorites, so one would believe I was connected to Tunein. Just no music from any station. I'm going to try again on my ride home. Maybe they were having some issues this morning on my way into work.
