Indeed. People have moved on. To each their own, however, as the platform is quite solid, as long as Tony has found the best way to tune.

Exactly. 40 year old Porsches is a great example. Aggregate, however, the W211 E55 is a very small platform. Not many made, and the demographic has been all over the place. Total expenditure, which drives development, has been small.

Interesting numbers. Wonder what injectors/fuel system that car runs. I know I maxed out my 630cc set and I've only been able to see 600whp on a standalone ECU. I didn't use meth though. Not knocking the effort, it is amazing to see older cars run big numbers. I'm inspired by stuff like that.

I politely disagree. There's something about old cars hitting big numbers and outperforming newer, more technologically advanced stuff. It's easier to jump into a new car with more potential but it's not for everyone.

Hope all is well, B

Love those numbers but find it very hard to believe. Stock cams, stock heads, stock bores ........unless it is just all about the boost. I know that the more boost you throw at these heads they just keep flowing but 715 is ALOT of power.

Quarter mile trap speed would give a good indication if those WHP numbers correlate.

im pretty sure on the weistec website it says that the weistec blower is meant to be run with a stock crank pulley...this guy is running a 180mm crank ontop of a 62.5 upper....thats insane

This place is a joke.
And how long will it hold together? Dyno runs are great...but 1/4 and 1/2 mile will tell the tale.

anybody know the owner or if they frequent the forums? East coast euro mentioned that he is running their engine mounts...maybe we can get him to chime in and see if he’s got any 1/4 mile numbers?

Yes we know the owner. Built motor. No 1/4 times as far as I'm aware.

What was done to the motor if I may ask? I assume forged pistons, rods? Did you do the engine work?

Forged pistons and rods. No the owner did the work himself.

It was really more of a lament of what the normal population will do and put effort into. I’m with you. Hell, I’m completely restoring the e55 in essence with new bushings, shocks, lsd, links, rebuilding the engine, etc.
But the nature of what we can see objectively on this board does represent the sentiment of what I stated. I don’t like it.

Il just jealous I have to stay firmly daily driver (for the wife) on this car so I can’t go all out on certain things.
