Tips to keep your mileage LOW

I’m itching to drive my Amg all the time but I’ve parked it for a few days and it’s so hard not driving her. I just can’t rack up miles and watch the value drop..tips??

You’re probably asking the wrong crowd here. The standard answer on just about any enthusiast forum is - rack up the miles and enjoy it. This is not a museum piece and devalues immensely with or without mileage accrual. Use it up and buy another. Life is too short to sweat the small things brother.

Just drive the hell out of it and then buy a new car later. Barely driving it will just benefit the next owner.

That IS a lot of miles ... I only put on about 8K a year (and it's my daily driver). The benefit of a relatively short commute and no long trips -- and no real life. :-)

Aside from cars, I’m big into watches and I see on the Rolex forums how some people hoard their watches and keep them in a safe and take them out once a month to look at them longingly and put them back. No way. Cars, watches, tools, etc are all meant to be loved and used. Hardly anything I own looks new and pristine. It’s just stuff made for enjoyment so enjoy the hell out of it.

Rolex's are old man watches !! lol My C63S sits in the garage most of the time.I have other cars to drive .... I bought a beater ( well kind of a beater )for to and from work as I commute 70 miles a day . And since I put on my aftermarket wheels they are a pain to clean so it's sunny days only for it .I've got 15,000 miles on it now and its a 2015

Most AMGs drop in value like a brick, so why not enjoy the momentum and drive the $#!T out of it. I use mine as a daily, and am averaging around 1100 miles per month.
I'm in Germany, and the ability to actually use all the power (tuned since the last 2k miles), combined with the car as a whole package is such a joy!
I strongly urge you to crunch these numbers (since you seem to be focused on values) --> What's the price of your enjoyment? What made you fall in love with the car?

Is the mileage difference really worth looking back and saying "I wish I had driven her more" - to each their own, but I know my answer! ;-)

I decided to buy a C63S for the sound and pulling power alone. I'll daily drive it and do it with a smile all day long. The car is insane compared to its peers.

Live in a colder area with snow and put summer tires on the car? That way you cant get any traction so you cant drive it - problem solved?

Best advice if you want to keep your miles low: sell the car now and buy a Prius

Nah, put it on the back of a flatbed truck, windows down, roof open, music blaring. It'll seem like summer, plus you're now really going places and saving miles...

2018 C63s Estate, 2017 gla 45 [Sold] 2017 smart 44 brabus sport [for the Mrs]
I was looking to keep mine at the end of my 4 year agreement. I'm currently doing 11k miles a year (on a 10k per year pcp). My neighbours are making random comments to my wife about my car, generally compliments, but im sure what they really want to comment on is how they disapprove of my hooning it around everywhere in my local town, wheel spinning at traffic lights, sliding around corners. That's the problem i find with this car. I just cant help myself treating our roads as my local playground and i cant seem to drive in any mode other than sport plus and i cant help myself if the roads are a bit icy or damp, i cant resist forcing the car to slide at every opportunity (as these conditions save my overpriced Michelin PA4 tyres from wearing prematurely)

I'm quite tempted to get myself a 15 year old rusty pile of junk to drive around where i live to "save" my reputation. I'm pretty sure people are beginning to think i am an immature lout, and i would prefer that they thought I prefer to drive a rusty old car (as a major upgrade to being a lout).

I may save my 63 for driving out of town only where i can be my childish self without worry about what people think!

Brilliant! This can be further improved upon by loading 2 cars on a flatbed thus doubling one's happiness and saving even more miles.

I never understood this. I wear all my watches and drive my cars as much as my free time allows. You could die tomorrow; enjoy the things for which you worked so hard.

Keeping miles low to keep the value up is like not banging the hot stripper you are dating so she is in better shape for the next guy. Drive the thing!

AMGs will depreciate whether you drive it or not lol. If it makes you feel better, then drive it on the weekends only to soften the blow and pair with a commuter car
