Pretty sure 50% of this forum is about to order these wheels when their G's come in from build. I am: 20" + new TPMS + blizzaks for my 63 on order

Just put above rims on my 2019 G550. from 3W Distributing. They forgot to mention anything about the included spacers, put spacers on they looked fine, when i cut wheel to back up tires ripped out fins on inside of wheel wells. Dealer called 3W Distributing, they said to bad.

Hello,

Who was the dealer who purchased these wheels from us? We never told anyone or any dealer "Too bad?"

Please let us know so we can clarify this situation. We would be more than happy to make this situation right.

Thank you for your time!

I ask because my 2nd 2019 G550 I'm ordering in Matte Black, but I'm not getting the AMG Package (so no oversize flared fenders).

Also, do they come with a different color ring (other than red)?

Kindly advise. Thanks.
Hello,

They are simulated beadlock wheels. The wheels will fit directly onto the a 19 G550 with no spacers, we provide spacers in case some customers want a more aggressive stance. With 285/50/20 there will be a slight rub, (with spacers) but many customers just trim plastic that rubs.

Wheels only are offered with the red ring. If you'd like a different we can get them painted for you for an additional charge.

Please let us know how we can further assist you.

Thank you!

Nice, good that they are simulated as I hear the real thing can be a pain in the ****.

1. Are they a matte black finish?
2. How much are the 20" wheels for the G550?
3. How much is it to paint the ring a different color?
4. Please clarify the "rub" comment. I couldn't quite understand. So when do they rub (and people cut the plastic)?

Hello again,

Pain of **** they can be but not point of true beadlock unless you're gonna flying through the Mojave desert or drive on super low tire pressure.

1. The wheels are stain black finish
2. Wheels are $3580 for the set
3. To refinish the ring a different color is $400 for the set, but we can do it for $200.
4. The wheels will rub the inner plastic lining either at full clock turn or in some case at a weird angles. With the few edition 1 we've done with this exact same setup, absolutely no issues at all. But the G550 slightly narrow fenders, so rubbing is on inner lining.

Please let us know if you further questions.

Thank you!

On the G550 what about if you use the 20" wheel instead of the 22", does that prevent the rubbing?

Hello,

The quote above was for 20" GC01 design. Regardless of 22" or 20" the factors are tire size and offset of wheels.

Like mentioned above, if you run the 20" or 22" without spacers, the wheels will fit with OEM tire size. But if you want the aggressive stance and tires, rubbing might happen sometimes. Only way around that might be to run a less aggressive looking tire.

Thank you again!

What about a taller tire (not wider) is the rubbing associated with the tire width?

What is the factory tire size for your 20" wheel for the G550?

Hello,

Taller can affect rubbing as well.
Do you know what your factory G550 tire size is? If you can give us this information we can do a calculation and let you know there difference in overall diameter between OEM G550 tires on our suggest 285/50/20.

Thank you!

We will calculate this for you when we're back in the office.

But from this, our wheels are slighter wider 20x9.5 +35 offset. We suggest 285/50/20 so overall height is same, just slightly wider. So by running the recommended 20mm Spacers, it makes the wheels sit more flush the fenders which is why it rubs on inner plastic.

Thank you!

Why are you recommending spacers again?

And what about no spacers and running a 275/60 R20 giving a taller sidewall & tire height but no extra width?

Because the wheels will sit more flush to the fenders, but you do not have to run them. Clearly up to you.

We've never tested these tires before so can't advise you.

Thank you!

Follow up questions:

#1. What is the lead time on these wheels (the 20" size)?
#2. What colors are available on the rim paint?

Thank you.

1. Can the custom color be any color?
2. What does it add to the lead time?

Thanks.

Hello,

We can do silver, no problem. Stainless would be nearly impossible. =)

Please let us know if you have any more questions.

3WD - does your 20.9.5 +35 fit the g63 (flush, without spacers?). Suppose it does as the 20" wheel set up on the 19' g63 is 275/50/r20 on 9.5 j x 20 ET 35. Can you confirm? I need a set for winter and will not be adding spacers. Thanks!

Hello,

As you may know already, the factory 20" wheels don't sit flush to the fenders, they actually sit a little inwards. On the 2019 G63, you'll need to run a 15mm or 20mm spacer, which we provide for you. Most of the 2019 G63 we've sold, all run 20mm. The reason for the spacers are to clear the calipers on the car. Once you run the spacers, the wheels will sit flush the fenders.

Please let us know how we can further assist you,

Thank you!

Hi there,
I just got a 2020 G63 and interested with the wheels you provided, can I further ask following questions before making decision?

1. My factory spec of the wheel is 21x10J, ET33, 285/45R21
2. If I run with your suggestion, 20x9.5J, ET35+20mm spacers (which equals to ET15), 295/55R20; will it rub the outer plastic wheel arch?
3. If I want them to be more aggressive by using 25mm spacers (equals to ET10), will it rub any pari of the car?

thank you
