GLS logo light
Just got a 2019 GLS450. Trying to figure out how to turn off the logo puddle lights under the side view mirrors. The owners manual wasn’t much help. The vehicle settings on the screen show how to turn it off BUT it doesn’t seem to “take”. I’ve called the dealership 4 times about this and they don’t seem to have an answer. Hope someone can help. Thanks

Hi Mike,do you have illuminated running boards? Mine were turned off but was able to turn them on via the Command menu - go to Vehicle Settings - and turn off "Locator Lighting" which will turn off the projector lamps. Just curious for the reason why you want to disable the logo projector lights. It's a nice touch, but i guess you don't need to advertise. LOL

As for disabling them, I guess it’s taste. At first their cool but they just seem over the top. A bit tacky or cheesy if you will. Like you said I don’t need to advertise. I think the car speaks for itself.....

MBWorld Fanatic!
A great use for the "Bat Signal" is with my grandkid's - I tell them to "stand in the Mercedes circle" when we load and unload - they think it's cool.
If you want to "off the Bat Signal" - which is "sun/darkness" controlled - a small adhesive dot/label on the projector lense - or a Sharpie/black marker - if you really want to get into in - kindof a hefty step-up transformer in each door panel that a amiable tech can pull each panel - and unplug lead to each projector

Yeah I can see the kids thinking it’s cool but again it just comes across as over the top.
It it sounds like everything I’ve read and heard is there is no way to really turn this off, correct?
