Site states production date of 2015 on those tires. They are 4 yrs old and that is why they are so cheap IMO.
I would spend a few more bucks for the good stuff.
I have PZero and will be going to A/S or DWS next.

You're amusing, no sh_t Duh, they collected dust. Tirerack couldn't move them at the astronomical price. So now I did and will be burning rubber brand new tires. So you know tires are not made the day you buy them.

nice catch- made the same mistake while back and bought old tires - hated my car since it was like horse carriage with wooden wheels

Tires get dry rotted just sitting and your new tires did just that, sit for years. There is a reason why they are so cheap cause they are no good.
I woul rather install a 1/2 life tire that was a few months old.
Companies can sell up to 6year old tires. I would have done the same. Actually I tried, just not worth with the USD-CAD conversion plus shipping right now.

Tire life is usually anywhere from 6 to 10 years. A tire sitting in a warehouse for 4 years is probably good for a few more years past the 6 year mark, especially if it's in a cold climate or if the car is parked in a garage. Plus these tires probably won't last long in terms of tread life and it sounds like the OP only got a little over 3 years out of the first set. So 7 year old tires should probably still be fine by the time he gets rid of them.

Had the tires put on tread looks great rubber brand new. The dealership Said tires have no sign of any issues. No charge for balancing or installing free. And best news I got my money all back for both tires due to an error on their behalf and didn't want to pay ups to pick them up so they're letting me keep them. In all free is the total cost and the these tires grip way better than stock. Absolutely love them will post pics next few days.
4 year old tires are fine. However depending how much OP drives and how much sun exposure they get these tires would ideally need to be replaced before he's at the wear bars due to drying out.
