2020 Model Year changes?
Anyone know when 2020 specs should be released? Considering a G550 and was very surprised at some missing features that are found in lesser models like the E Class, such as Drive Pilot and Surround View Camera (I know the Surround View is available on the G63).
Do you guys think we’ll see any significant options changes for the MY2020 model? Thanks.

Canada : G550 has surround camera and there is no bull bar. G63 has 360 view camera and the lower bull bar which does not interfere. Bull bar IMO is useless unless for mounting winch

That would be interesting, I would of assumed they would wait a few years for MBUX, a huge upgrade if they do. They could always add 360 camera forcing the bull bar delete?

MBWorld Fanatic!
I think there are (2) questions: (1) when will Graf/factory change over to production MY 2020 (2) when will we have those new 2020 DOG
On #1 - "usually" model yr changeovers for other MB models are done in July - and "about now" we should know a but more,,,

Word on the street is MY2020 G63 will have a blower fitted to it, upping its beautiful AMG’s engine to 809BHP, sporting a similar low profile form factor of the Hellcat’s blower. However, the biggest development hurdle currently being struggled with is the rear bumper keeps getting torn off when the auto deploying anti-wheelie bar contacts the road surface. 0-60 times on current MY2020 G63 test mules are running about 2.4 seconds.

Interesting. Can you link to a source/article. Have not heard that anywhere.

The only benefit for me of the newer MBUX G is that Apple carplay or Android over Bluetooth. For me that's a huge game changer, I personally don't care for cars built in navigation and media controls. Give me wireless Apple carplay and that alone is worth the upgrade. I just wish it was currently an option. BMW has had it for years

I learned that starting October will be 2020 MY deliveries - so I’m assuming from Sep’19 they’re switching over from 2019 MY. Mine would still be 2019 (build date May’19 first week/decade). IMHO MBUX is a very annoying system with it initiating actions whenever ‘mercedes’ is said. I’d rather stay with tried and tested current infotainment system. I really hope though that MB fixes some early issues in current production like windshield cracks, air conditioning whistle and some of the failing engines!

Soon: 2020 G63 Currently: 2016 GLE63 SUV + 97 F250HD, Before: 2013 G550, Range Rover Sport, 1984 CJ7
there was a couple shots of the future 2020 S Class interior. I really hope the G never goes toward this Tesla like interior:
