SRS Light
Had a upholsterer repair ripped drivers seat on my 15 GLK 250...He removed & repaired seat but now SRS light remains lit up. Anyone have suggestions?

Your upholsterer probably won't have the scanner to reset the computer to clear the code.
I would ask him if he does have a scanner (in the unlikely case he does or knows someone who does) but your best bet will be to just ask your dealer if your close to your sa or invest now in a scanner that can read and clear mb specific modules in the case you plan to perform diy work on the car in the future.

How do you know the code needs or can be reset , it is a broken circuit . An example is the brake wear sensor , if the sensor is defective or installed wrong it will trigger a warning that can only be turned off by fixing the issue , there is no Code Reset. Seatbelts are saftey issues, I would bet there is no code reset as well, only fixing the issue will stop the warning. The brake warning issue I just dealt with.

Why are you assuming a broken circuit.? Assuming he unplugged the seat why working on it the computer would sense the missing circuit and indicate the SRS light. The car has an SRS computer that can be reset once everything is plugged back in and fixed. So the SRS light will not go off until cleared by a proper scanner than can connect to the SRS computer.
