Which mercedes manual should I get?

I bought a download for what was supposed to be a mercedes shop manual and it seems like its missing the sections that go into specifics on procedures as well as the torque settings. The manual I got has WIS and ASRI. It uses virtual machine. Feel like I wasted money on this.

I, personally, don't feel there is a perfect manual for the 210. The in-depth DVD based WIS EPC requires a bit
of navigating in order to sometimes locate what I feel is very basic maintenance info. But there are other
sources out there. AllData, Chiltons are a couple of other popular reference sources.

I am fortunate to live
where these online services are provided free of charge through my local public library. What I did was to
visit the library and downloaded thousands of pages onto my USB flash drive for viewing at home. Basic
maintenance info, technical service bulletins, diagrams, photos etc can be easier to locate and regularly
used to supplement the WIS clone.

You'll be glad to have the WIS for other more involved DIY repairs down the road, I think....because there
is no other source out there from any other publisher.

I bought one off ebay and it damn near bricked my computer. Never again. I was about to just reinstall Windows but a friend ****ed with it for a few hours and fixed it. The seller refunded me.

What you bought, pirated is WIS(workshop information system) and that is dealer level software that has everything, repeat everything that a mercedes shop mechanic needs to repair their cars.
Your issue is you diden't know what WIS was in the first place and second you do or did not install the software properly and third you do not understand how to search and yes all the applicable torques are listed at the bottom of each procedure page.-------get smart learn something before throwing out the baby with the bath water. Its a great pirated product.

when I purchased a DVD version of WIS I didn't know of the pirating issue. I installed it on my
Windows 7, intel 7 with 32gb RAM on an SSD drive. it has worked great, albeit a tad slow
even under SSD. I have contemplated tossing it because of the copyright issue but so far,
haven't... juggling the morality of its use within my conscience.
