GL550 Vehicle Log
Was wondering if anyone elses dealership printed out the vehicles record history from birth. My S.A. told me they aren't supposed to print them out. (See attached).
Anything alarming, please let me know.

I've never seen a complete history like this printed out. I doubt very much it is standard practice. As far as a dealer is concerned things like this raise more questions than they answer, They are usually happy to answer specific questions - it is, after all, YOUR vehicle - but usually don't want to be bothered with things like 'what does this mean', 'what kind of a part is that', etc. It also opens up questions like "this part here in the record was replaced back then, now something related broke and must be replaced, how do I know it wasn't caused by the first repair? etc.

My S.A. takes care of me. He'll throw in little things like oil changes etc.
All in all I have spent some coin there but im the type of person that I'm just as nice to the janitor cleaning the dealership than I am to the CEO.
Ive been a cop for 10 yrs in the murder capital of the United States and trust me, you get so much more further with respect than attitude.
Anyway, my GL is from Florida and as I changed out all the filters when I purchased it I found sand in the cabin filters.
At least I know whats been changed and what hasnt.

My sa also has a good relationship with most of his clients. His desk if filled with trinkets from them, with a couple of mine strewn in the mix. (Little KLM houses); although he drinks most of the other things I give him 😝

If you pay for a PPI on a vehicle the dealer will usually hand you the VMI (Vehicle Master Inquiry). To get one will cost you - either hand them money or have a solid relationship with your service advisor.
This document is the vehicle’s service history - now don’t think that everything that a dealer did to a particular car means that it’s a lemon. A lot of these have very comprehensive dealer maintenance records.
Because:
MB dealers never, ever, in the history of ever did marginally or completely unnecessary warranty work to keep revenue flowing during slow times.
wink wink hint hint say no more.

Be advised, this does not include maintenance I've personally done nor the work previous owner completed by themselves or an indy mechanic.
