Side bolsters

Hi, I have a question about the seat side bolsters, is it possible to adjust them?

I have the standard seats.

Correct me if I am wrong but I can feel them being pumped up when I have the car in S+ and take corners the opposite bolster seem to hold me in place.

i was wondering if it’s possible just to pump them up and keep them that way? I like when the seat holds me ...

thanks

LOL... Yeah... Our seats don't have adjustable bolsters. You have quite the imagination, though ;-)

My seats are adjustable I can tighten the leg and sides of my chest with buttons on the side of the seat.

Placebo can be a powerful drug . The standard seats don't have adjustable side bolsters. The performance seats do, though. With the performance seats, the driver seat side bolster on the seat cushion and the backrest can be adjusted and for the passenger seat, only the backrest side bolster can be adjusted.

What is back side bolster do you mean lumbar support? If so my standard seats have it on both sides passenger and driver...

as for the “placebo effect” i can definitely hear solenoids clicking and air being released after cornering... at first I was very confused what that noise was if it’s not side bolsters then what could make that noise?

just found it strange that I can’t find the place to adjust them?

No, I'm not talking about the lumbar support. I'm talking about the side bolsters that provide lateral support for your back. The seat cushion has side bolsters to provide lateral support for your legs. Both are adjustable with the performance seats. There are switches on the side of the seat to adjust them, but on the passenger seat, only the side bolsters that provide lateral support for the back are adjustable. Not sure what you are feeling or hearing, but as far as I know, only the S class seats have a feature that inflates the outer side of the seat during cornering. In the C63 with performance seats they don't inflate as a function of cornering or the drive mode. You can simply make the seat narrower or wider for more or less lateral support using the switches on the side of the seat.

Yes, the AMG Performance Seats are awesome. Very comfortable on longer trips as far as I'm concerned (I've done a 6 hour trip in them already), and they keep me planted when taking fast corners, and now with the 2019 they are available with both seat ventilation and heating. I see no reason for the standard seats, but I understand some people find the Performance seats uncomfortable.

Multicontour Seat Adjustment

Press the car button on the center console and go to Vehicle - Seat Settings - Dynamic Muticontour Seat

Aelect the seat of interest and set this setting to 0 (higher settings add more bolster push during turns)

Then go to Vehicle - Seat Settings - Lumbar, select the seat of interest, and adjust the bolsters to taste

Do you know what year they added the lumbar for the AMG Perf seats ? on my 2016 C63s, I know it has heated seats, but not sure I ever looked for lumbar.... :-/
I am not near it at moment, so cant go look... lol

I didn't think they ever came w/o it. The controls are on the side of the seat near the switches for the side bolsters. A bit lower down and round. I have mine fully retracted.
