Thinking about a 2015 S550

Thinking about trying to get a 2015 S550. It’s CPO, 22k miles, Sport Package, P1 Package and Driver Assistance Package. It has 19” AMG Twin 5 spoke wheels. Anthracite Blue with Silk Beige/Espresso Brown interior.

Dealer is asking $59,975 which obviously is too much to pay. What do you think I should offer?

2019 S63 4Matic+, 2018 E400 Cabrio, wardens car.
I would offer 54K and see what they say. CPO and mileage makes it worth more than a higher mileage example.

For like 5k more you can find some 2018 S450’s with the updates. Those 2015’s can be found all day under 50k.

This is what I would do if I was planning on spending near 60k on one

A 2018 S450 with the updates vs. a 2015 S550 without them for close to the same price? Seems like a no brainer to me unless you care a lot about rear badging...

Ummm..... tell me where I can find a 2018 S450 for the same price as a 2015 S550 and I’ll jump on it. I’m seeing a 20k price difference between those two cars.

That’s a good price, but considering I could get the S550 for 50k, that’s 18k more for the S450.

Just remember CPO is only as good as the dealer doing it. A good indication is to pull up CARFAX or ask and see what they did to get the car ready for CPO. If they change 1 tire or just prep the car your getting NOTHING for all that extra money. If you buy a 2015 that still has factory warranty private you can extend the warranty through MB 4 years is about $3500 that 3 more then you get with CPO.

CPO used to be the best of the best but like everything else it is now just a marketing tool. You are not getting a 2018 for anywhere near that price unless it is a rat compare apples to apples and it a $20+ difference.

As long as the car still has factory warranty don't limit yourself to MB dealers! I would offer $54 don't worry about offending anyone believe me they won't worry about you if there is an issue with that car but be ready to BUY ON THE SPOT!!

Im not so sure Benz will even let you extend the warty anymore if the car wasnt bought at mercedes. I agree some dealers cpo is Bs but a quality benz dealer and a proper cpo car is almost impossible to beat.

Zero issues and I'm absolutely over the moon with the purchase. I enjoy driving it every single day. It's a car driving experience I never knew existed. I thought my W212 was awesome, this thing is a whole other level. Just watch some video reviews and peoples genuine reactions to how awesome the W222 is. You'll soon be one of those guys...

As long as the car has a current standard warranty(not cpo ) you can add warranty years. If the warranty is expired then no you can't.

You have to find the right dealer and like I said see what they do to the car before they list it. There are some dealers that do brakes and tires automatically others just detail do the bumpers and sell. Your buying into the hype and so did I. Look at BMW their CPO warranty covers just about nothing but people still buy into it.

I do agree a dealer bought low mile say 1k mile or so that is sold through CPO is a great buy as you get the extended year for free and save the depreciation. Buying a 2015? I would buy private that has warranty and extend it. Look on here it is actually where I found out about it. My local dealer wanted almost a $1k more than some of the dealers listed on here could do for us. The actual dealer were we bought the car couldn't touch the price and we bought more than one from them.

There is no magic here. If you verify the car was dealer serviced it has the same care. If you verify the warranty you get the same warranty. The dealer is no giving you anything more than a well detailed car. Private sold in same condition is easily $5-10k less.

Hey, I have a 2015 with the exact packages, 3yr extended warranty, just serviced, Renntech tune, 24k, and I would jump on selling low 50's if I was selling.

If you buy CPO do not buy from a dealer that is corporate owned like say Penske. The problem is there is no local skin in the game. If you buy from a private owned they have to make you happy its their store they aren't just employees.

Here's one, pretty close in price. There are several more.
