2016 GTs, 2014 C63 AMG and 2014 C350 Sport (wife's car, she thinks it's an AMG - shhhhhh)
Unless you are going for HP gains at the track and are doing much more than the exhaust, there is no reason to swap it out. A deep throaty (stock) growl from a MB makes all the statement you need to make on the street. Making your fine, precision sports coupe sound like any douche with a Mustang and a set of Flowmasters just blows the whole vibe.
I have spoken (again)

Google mikes power pipe to replace the secondary cats and straight pipe the resonator and be done!
this set up is the best sound by far and gives some added hp. Anything else an you lose the amg growl while spending $1,000s for a few hp.

Every single person who has ever had headers disagrees with this post

This is my personal opinion from having stock manifold, short tube (plm) and lt headers (mbh) as well as configurations with mbh x pipe, mikes h-pipe, and agency power midsection with and without resonator on each of three setups.
There are several posts about owners not enjoying the sound and tone with headers, and stating the amg growl is gone. It’s easier to drop a few hundred dollars to remove the secondary cats and resonator, then step up to spending $4k - 8k for a fullly upgraded exhaust system and headers if the OP is still not happy.
There is a search function, I suggest you use it, Blkrokt before stating every single person with headers disagrees with my suggestion which AGAIN, is my personal opinion after going through the headache of switching different components countless times.

Just get headers for your car. It sounds awesome, and gives a good increase in power when tuned properly.
I am running IPE Headers and mid-pipes.
I get told numerous times at the track, that my C63 is the best sounding Merc.

No one ever has said my exhaust sounds worse then stock. It gets head turns everywhere and tons of compliments. Go headers you won’t regret it.
