2019 facelift exhaust sounding great now with better mic (video)
Hey guys,
A little while back I posted a video driving with the AMG performance exhaust in my 2019 facelift and it sparked a debate about the difference between the prefacelift.
From my experience driving both I'd say the upshifts are slightly less aggressive in the facelift but they are still loud and obnoxious! I think the exhaust tone sounds alot cleaner too.
I got a much better microphone and recorded a rather spirited sport+ drive over the weekend and I think for the first time the video captures close to the true sound while driving.
This forum has always been a great resource to me back when I was researching buying my car so I wanted to give something back and share some more fun vids.

I have a face lift (2019) and my neighbor who I am very close with has a pre face lift (2017). From my experience the PFL is louder, more aggressive and more obnoxious. The FL has a much nicer tone though. Its personal preference which you prefer. I don't think one is necessarily better than the other. An exaggerated analogy I can make is the PFL is like a Jag F Type, loud and obnoxious, while the FL is like a 911, harmonic.
