Just picked up my 2016 GT-S
Hello from Buffalo NY.
I have just added a CPO 2016 GTS in Brilliant blue to my "fleet" Traded in a 997.1 turbo for the car and while that was difficult, the AMG brought instant smiles to my face. This is my 4th AMG vehicle and I am glad to be back in one.
I would like to add a small wing/spoiler to the car, but I do not want it to be overly race car or cost a small fortune. Does anyone have any photos or recommendations for quality fit and complementary style to the GTS?
Thanks

What do you consider overly race car? I have the DarwinPro spoiler from hardpark ($2800ish) on mine and love it, but I know you can order the Ed 1 style around as well. The DP spoiler was direct bolt on, and had a spot to bolt the motor back up to already.

The popup spoilers are fairly minuscule, and if you like having it up all the time, you have to constantly play the button mashing game, as it likes to constantly lower back down after you pass certain speed thresholds. It get's annoying to deal with if you prefer the aesthetics of the spoiler always being in the raised position. At least it did for me.

Yes and Yes.
I feel like the slope of the back needs a small duckbill or something to accentuate the curve and not look totally dumb with the active wing when it decides to do its thing.
Also, my car has the chrome package so I feel a CF wing would look completely out of place.

It's also really easy to get your silver bits wrapped black if you wanted.

Once it's all buttoned back up, the motor is still back there functioning, which just means that it's spinning the rod that it uses to actuate the stock pop up spoiler, as if nothing had changed.
The entire install is fairly easy and straightforward. This video is great, and you have fewer steps with the DP spoiler, due to it already having the proper hardware installed for motor remounting.

Depending on which one you go with, it will either have mounting points preinstalled to bolt the motor back up to the new spoiler, or you will have to rig it up yourself. Either way, you have to re-attach the motor, and plug it back in, or you will get a CEL and the car will artificially limit your top speed.

AMG GT S Edition 1, Audi RS5
Congrats on the purchase. I came from a 997. 1 turbo as well as a 997.2 turbo and I love my GTS.
As for the spoiler, how about an OEM aero package spoiler? I have an Edition 1 which all came with the aero package and IMO, changes the entire look of the car.

Congrats , just picked up a 16 GTS myself and loving it.
Can anyone tell me if the Darwin carbon fiber weave/color is a close match to the factory carbon fiber ?

I am from Buffalo as well, i have had my GTS for about a year (the white one, you may have seen it around). I thought about the spoiler, but then decided against it although it does look nice on the GTR. I am currently considering getting a renntech ECU tune, did you know MB of Buff does it & it doesnt void the warranty.
