Any MODS Regrets?

Are there any upgrades, tuning, aesthetics or suspension mods you’ve done to your Merc that you regret or you plan on changing?...and why?

I am picking up a White 2016 CLS 550 4matic next week and already excited about modding the car to my uniqueness. I always modified my previous cars modestly to satisfy my ride type and to look different from the base. Some mods I hated after the fact, some were more pain than pleasure and some mods I wished I had done immediately I got the car.
For the White CLS, I think I will start off with window tint, wrap the top & side mirrors black and wrap some grille chrome accents black. Not sure if I wanna tune yet but I am open to it.

Members, let us know some of your likes and dislikes on your Mods.

I've done wheels, tint, resonator delete, and have a tune coming in this Wednesday, and I can't say I've regretted a single part!

So far after three months, I have done resonator delete, debadged, chrome delete, xpel wrap front end only, tinted ceramic 20% all around, powdered coat my wheels, painted brake calipers, in the process of adding a subwoofer to my HK logic 7 ( great system but lacking bass), and applied Dynamat to the back trunk. No regrets, just need to drive it more often

No grille on the chrome delete. I will leave it the way it is for now, maybe in the future.

Partially regret the tune (up to 500awhp/600awtq) because of my fears of destroying the transmission.

Is there anything happening right now mechanically after the tune that is making you afraid of transmission problems? Was your gas mileage worse after the tune?

Gas mileage is maybe slightly worse because the pedal is much funner now. No transmission issues yet, but the source of my concern is the fact that renntecg has 2 stage 1 (no hardware upgrades) tunes, one that is "safe" for the oem transmission with 520 rwd torque, and another that they suggest new clutch packs and their transmission upgrade.

A user on here by the name of gardevski made a CLS550 with something like 720 whp and 900ft pounds of torque on the stock transmission and the car was running fine. His advice was to let the transmission adapt for the first thousand miles so it can apply more pressure to the clutch packs, which honestly makes a ton of sense. So I think you'll be just fine with the TQ and HP you're making right now lol.

The OE Tune I just got is great. I use it only to accelerate around traffic on the freeway with ease. Just blip the throttle and you're doing 20-30 more MPH instantly. I'm driving back home to CO on Monday and will take it easy on the way back home. I think the idea of letting the trans adapt to the added torque is a good one. OE Tuning has a sale until July 4th.
